An abandoned kitten's new life with a family that loves him. I was caught by a Trap, Neuter, Release group. I was starving, both for food and attention.

The people who caught me saw that I like people, and decided that instead of putting me back outside with the ferals, they would try to get me a family. They called a local rescue, and a very nice lady took me to her house. She got me special recovery food to help me get better, and spent some time playing with me and petting me. She named me Gilligan, after the scrawny guy on a tv show called Gil

ligan's Island. She told me that she hoped that one day I would have a family of my own. In the meantime, a lady named Sharon's heart was broken when a cat named BamBam that she loved with all her heart lost a battle with kidney disease. She wanted to honor the love she shared with BamBam by sharing that love with another cat that needed her. Sharon had adopted BamBam from the same rescue that was taking care of me, and that's the first place she went. She met lots of nice cats there, but none of them were just the right one. She knew she would recognize the right one when they met each other. It just so happened that the lady who was taking Sharon around to meet the cats at the rescue was the same lady who was taking care of me at her house. When she saw that Sharon was kind to all the cats she met, but none of them were the right one; and knowing from hearing about BamBam that Sharon could take good care of a cat that needed some help, she told Sharon that she thought maybe the right cat for her was actually at her house, and Sharon agreed to come and meet me. Well, we met, and I noticed that she was really, REALLY good at petting, and I liked that. I let her hold me, and we looked into each other's eyes, and fell in love with each other on the spot. She asked me if I would like to live with her and be her cat, and that sounded pretty good too me. I needed a couple more days to be ready to go home, but finally the big day came, and Sharon came back to get me. I was happy to see her, but a little nervous too. She took me to her house, and told me that she would be my mom and would love me and take care of me forever. So now I have a human family with my Mama Sharon, Daddy Jim, and a human sister, Katie; and two other cats that I will meet soon. I am a very happy cat!

Mom was gone all day for work, then gone all evening for a Benefit Dinner to help save baby humans. I was deprived of all that cuddle time, and I am not pleased. I forbid her from getting out from under me for the rest of the night!

Happy purrday to us! Mom and I are another year older. Hint: this year my age and the first number of Mom's age are the same, but I am not allowed to meow that number out loud (I was born in June of 2016). It was a long, crazy day and we are snuggling in to watch some Cold Case.

Mom put my harness and leash on, took me in the van, and I suddenly found myself at the vet doctor's office! I guess she noticed that I was having some pain in the litter box and was scooting my behind on the floor when I came out. My p**p had a tiny bit of blood, and she worried about me. They did unmentionable things with a thermometer, stole some of my blood, gave me a rabies shot, and to add insult to injury, they clipped my claws! More to follow when they come back with blood work results.

It's my Gotcha Day! Mom and I have been together five years now. FIVE!! I guess it's really true that time flies when you're having fun.

Mom and I fell in love the day we met, and it's only gotten better ever since. The first video, at the link, was minutes after I got to my new house. I came out of the carrier and all I wanted was for Mom to keep petting me, and to be honest, that's one thing that'snever changed. I was really scrawny, pretty much skin and bones. That's why the nice lady who introduced me to Mom named me Gilligan.

Life is really good now. Mom and I are closer than ever, and she promised me a celebration with tube treats and loots of playtime later. I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Hi, everyone! I had to work really hard at keeping Mom distracted and comforted this past Tuesday. It was the fifth anniversary of the day that BamBam died, and she was very emotional. I did my very best to comfort her, and we got through it. She says I help to make her happy, and I am glad because I love her a lot. She loves me a lot, too. We are a great couple.

Purrs, everyone! Greetings from the back of the couch! It's one of my favorite places in my house. I can look out the window, and still be close enough to Mom to get pets while she lies on the couch to read or watch television. Where are your favorite places in your houses?

I have decided to do my part to slow the spread of this nasty virus. I am starting a movement I have named Occupy Mom. I am calling upon all of my feline friends to occupy spaces on their moms to create an epidemic of cat paralysis, which will foster social distancing by confining our moms to their couches, recliners or beds.
