Leave the Leaves! Remember you don't have to rake up all those fall leaves. Leaving them in place is incredibly beneficial for the landscape. They act as a mulch maintaining moisture in the soil, something we really need this year. They also provide nesting and shelter for overwintering pollinators and beneficial insects. Over time, they break down and add organic matter to the soil providing nutrients to your garden and landscape in the spring. Plus, they look fantastic - a truly free fall decoration. Try it out in a spot or two this year.

These are both family farms out of Texas. They provide amazing products and service. They are always available for even us lowly grower's questions and concerns.

We're going NATIVE y'all! Admittedly, we are already pretty feral. 🧑‍🌾

I've got the seeds and I'm getting the greenhouse up and running so they can go in! Hope to have some native plants available by spring!

It's definitely been a drastic learning curve, but I'm going after it one step at a time. Do you want a thriving vegetable garden in the spring? Don't just grow the vegetables🌱. Holy Guacamole!! 🥑 There have been so many new followers this week! I'm truly astounded and excited! Let's translate that into NERVOUS too. I really hope I can put together something you all can be proud to say you got from me.

A little extra if you're still reading. I pride myself on growing everything that I use for my spices. It's how I can come to you with a Certified Louisiana product. Sometimes that puts me at a disadvantage through crop failure, space limits, or climate constrictions. As always my faith and family come first so let's add time constrictions as well. That said... I LOVE suggestions and requests!! If I can make it happen I will! Per example, I hope to have a larger supply of rosemary and sage soon to add it as an unmixed seasoning in my lineup. Comment below if you'd like to share an idea for a seasoning flavor or your favorite microgreen!
