Such a good day for the green beans! Tilly had her second ride, had her first trot under saddle, and was just as good as she was on Wednesday. Hazel and I are back at it after a few months off, and Oakley was an excellent co-instructor. The best kids, all of ‘em!

Luana PRLA
Spectacular 2013 15.1h big bodied IALHA Lusitano mare, APSL eligible. By the Grand Prix stallion Piloto Do Top, Luana was started as a 6 year old and developed slowly and carefully in the classical tradition. She is a beautiful mover with three exceptional gaits. She has an immense aptitude for collection and lateral movements, ready to be developed into an FEI horse. Luana also shows great aptitude for Working Equitation - in her first exposure to WE at a clinic in July she was bold, brave, and engaged with the obstacles. She even carried the garrocha pole for the first time with complete calmness.

Luana is phenomenal outside of the arena and is happiest doing a mix of trails, beach rides, and arena work as part of her regular program. Navigates technical trails with ease, and scheduled for her first 25 mile LD ride in September. Rides out alone or in groups, and is very AA friendly outside of the arena. In the arena she can take herself very seriously, and requires an experienced rider with sensitivity and tact. Would be an excellent candidate for an AA/pro partnership.

Luana loves attention and is always the first at the gate. She wants and needs to be the center of someone’s world. She has even been used in our farm’s Equine Assisted Mental Health Therapy program with great success. Luana lives out in a mixed herd, is an easy keeper, barefoot and sound with no maintenance.
