There is no substitute for hands on teaching of the clinical skills needed for diagnosis and treatment. Here we are demonstrating to a group of delegates at a workshop some of the finer points of clinical assessment of a presented with . The communication includes the owners as an integral part of the ‘team’ who are co-creating a diagnostic-, and treatment plan. Doing the initial examination outdoors is preferred as a more natural setting for relaxing the patient and reducing anxiety.

Why consider stem cells as a treatment for your pet?

Degenerative conditions such as arthritis are usually treated by a combination of different things including pain-killing medicines. While this is perfectly appropriate, and generally safe, these drugs do not slow the progression of the joint disease.

There is a vacancy for a treatment that can slow the breakdown of the joint tissues, and encourage repair. This is where stem cells may have a place in slowing down the disease process and improving the pet's wellbeing and quality of life.
