With all the chaos that is our day to day at a reptile rescue, we forgot to share Spazz’s great news! He officially moved in to his new place and is settling great! So excited! Thank you for giving us the space to meet wonderful people like these guys and get our babies adopted!

Today was such a heartwarming day. This amazing little girl and her dad met Ralphie at and it was love at first site! Our sweet girl is off to the next chapter in life and we are Beyond thrilled for her!

Seriously so grateful! Conventions have helped our adoption and fundraising so much and this generosity and support means the world to us

WOW! Talk about an amazing convention that truly values what nonprofits have to offer!! Since I’m partnered with A Dragon's Den Reptile Rescue and Rehabilitation and work heavily to fundraise and find their babies forever homes, the AARPE decided to fully discount the tables for the show! AND, we are going to have 2 full perimeter tables so I have a feeling we will have a lot more reptiles to showcase and find homes for!!

If you’re in the Charlotte NC or surrounding area, this is DEFINITELY the place to be in September and totally worth checking out!! FRT/ADD is extremely grateful for the opportunity!

Please be mindful, especially this time of year, if the effects of food litter on wildlife. Littering is unacceptable even if it’s biodegradable. Many animals are hit by cars every day because they are looking for food in or near roadways as a direct result of food litter. One of the easiest ways you can save wild animals is by holding onto your food waste until you’re able to put it in an trash can or compost bin.

So you see a turtle crossing the road...

Remember if you do help turtles across the road, DON'T pick them up by their tail (that includes snapping turtles). If you don't want to touch the turtle use a floor mat from your car, a box, or something heavy duty to nicely move the turtle off the road.

DO pick up the turtle using both of your hands, one on each side of the shell, between the front and back legs.

If you don't feel safe touching the turtle you can use something else to move the turtle instead. (Floor mats in your car, a box, a shoe, etc.)

DO remember that a turtle's shell is living tissue

A giant good morning from our sweet grumpy boy B!!! Him and his judgmental little face gets us every time! Don’t be fooled by his hard exterior, he just has resting beardie face! B is currently up for adoption and looking for his forever home! In a perfect world B would go to an only dragon house with the time to give him so that he can run around an explore! Another beautiful Carolina day! The girls are outside catching some rays! Someone was so kind and donated four of these large enclosures for our babies! One is build and out side and the rest are coming soon! We are so excited! Next one belongs to the tortoises!

Weekend at Beardies has finally found his forever home! It has been a great experience having him in our care but we are so excited to see him go to such an amazing home! Keep an eye out! Be vigilant while mowing or even letting your animals out unsupervised. It take 10 mins of your time to do something so small and cheap to make a difference. Hacks like these are what stands in between a nest of babies being killed and our natural wild life flourishing. Be present guys!
