Mac is the son of my dear friends. This vibrant young man suffered a brain bleed at college (UK). He has a long road to recovery and the expenses are and will continue to be a heavy burden on this beautiful family.

This, my friends, is the first batch of the next generation of our flock. Although there will likely be pure light brahma, buff orpington, barred rock, and black australorp, they will be designated barnyard mix because there is no way to be 100% certain at this point.

Hens: Rhode Island Red, White Leghorn, White Silkie, Crested Polish, ISA Brown, Barred Rock, Legbar, Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, Light Brahma, speckled Sussex, Sapphire Gem, Golden Comet

Cockerels: Black Australorp, Light Brahma, Buff Orpington, Barred Rock, White Silkie

UPDATE: We have located the lost flock members.

Unfortunately, not all survived.

Today, the majority of our flock was slaughtered by two dogs that the owner chose not to contain. We took one down mid act. The other ran off.

We have not located the bodies of many hens and two roosters so there’s a chance that we have flock members in the surrounding area.

If you see any chickens loose or dead in Cadiz in the area of Lafayette, Wharton Rd, and 2nd St, please contact me.
