HOW TO GET 100% SEED GERMINATION? This is a question asked by most of the gardener’s and our clients as well. A slight mistake in this would lead to heavy loss in commercial farms and delay in harvests.

The following are the steps to be followed for
Good germination:

1. Dissolve cocopeat in a bucket filled with water

2. Let it expand and set for 30 minutes

3. Squeeze the excess water in the tub and take only partially moist cocopeat

4. Fill the cocopeat throughout the seedling tray evenly

5. Make holes for the seeds as per the seed size

6. After seeding close the holes with another layer of cocopeat

8. Sprinkle water throughout the seedling tray once and Keep them in dark and warm place for 48 hours to get 100% germination

P.S The remaining water from the tub can be used to water plants

This one is a SPECIAL Project we had done for a SPECIAL client and it deserves more than a post. Here is Why

Our client who is 70 year old woman so energetic and enthusiastic to grow plants approached us and said she wants to do hydroponic gardening in the windowsill. There are two challenges we faced here

1. Space availability
2. Less direct sunlight(2 hours only)

We overcame these challenges and proudly say that it is a success.
We managed to grow 16 plants at a place where you could fit only 6 pots as you can see in the images. Ofcourse the credit also goes to the client who was more positive about executing it with us.

It doesn’t end here.After the successful harvest of greens our client said she wants to grow flowers. To our surprise she had managed to grow them out very well with our guidance that now the windowsill is filled with beautiful flowers, Happy clients make you more happy.

In hydroponic the leaves can grow as Big as your palm if given the right amount of nutrients, light and temperature to plant.

Red and Green Amaranthus also known as “Araikeerai” in Tamil is a super food rich in Vitamin A,C,B6 and is commonly used in South Indian cooking.

Sweet Italian Basil: Large lead Italian Basil
is a prolific plant covering almost a slice of bread. Sweeter than Genovese Basil it produces bushy plant with aromatic leaves.

Recipes: Use a handful of basil in tomato dishes, Pesto Sauces and soups
