Pheobe came into our lives due to her failing a service dog program in Montana. This girl has a little more pep in her step & bound in her hops for service dog work. More about our “Mr. Zu Zu”

In our all girl family Zeus was an interesting introduction into our pack. We didn’t know exactly how he would fit into the dynamic. We had some hesitations regarding how our more dominant females would interact with him, how he would respond to our puppies, etc. So with him we took our time integrating him!

However! Zeus quickly waved our concerns! 🫶🏼 I don’t know if we could have found a better male protection dog for our family!

- He was our young golden’s first bestie that taught her how to play nicely.
- He quickly learned that our dog Phebz can be a little socially awkward so he showed her to play with each other with toys instead of wrestling like his other sisters do.
- He has learned our older females aren’t a fan of really playing so he just walks by them to give them “sissy kisses”.

On top of that he has taken his job more seriously than my expectations for a protection dog! I know wherever I’m wondering around the place doing chores Zeus is going to be right there with me unless he notices something that needs to be checked out. But with one command he’s right back by my side! 🫶🏼

He’s quickly turned into my little side kick that’s excited to be the best brother doggo when we get home.

Oz here is one of the dogs that’s been with us through all the growth Vital K9 has gone through in the last year! He tagged along in our board & train program when we’d just moved back from Kansas City. Then he became a dog we would go do in home lessons with after we built out our dog van! Thennnn he would come stay with us at our past facility while his parents were out of town. Now he’s one of the first dogs to stay at our new location, “the dog cabin”. Where dogs are able to stay in more of a home setting while their parents are traveling. We’re so thankful for all our dogs like Oz & their owners! 👏🏽

Meet Frankie! Frankie was a very nervous guy when he started his stay with us. His day to day is just him & his dad taking on life! So when he had to stay somewhere knew they were both unsure. For the first couple of days Frankie needed a lot of personal space & patience for him to even come out of his pen. However after a couple of days Frankie started coming out of his shell & trusting us! ❤️ He ended up showing us his cool karate moves he can do with a stick & his quick zooms! We love you little Frankie boy! 🫶🏼

A puppy + the sunset ☀️⬇️ The dog cabin is the dogs’ cozy place they stay while they’re in training with us! ✨ Yogi is enjoying a yummy dog chew to wind down for the evening at the cabin, after a day of play & training!

When I tell my clients that we need to bring the energy to training, this is what I mean! Especially when it comes to confidence building for young puppies! I also noticed she was acting sleepy & full from breakfast still, but that’s okay! The training session didn’t go as planned but we still ended it on a good note. 🎉

Well I didn’t mean for this video to sound like a sleep story before bedtime, but here we are 😂 I wanted to share a little bit of what we’re up to while the dogs are out enjoying the morning sunshine! Before I get them their breakfast I like to do a daily cleaning of their space. So everyone is happy & healthy! 🫶🏼
