It’s going to be hot this weekend guys! Enjoy the sunshine but please be careful with your dogs🐾☀️

☀️ Heatstroke is very serious in dogs and only 50% of cases survive
☀️ A dog can die within 24 hours if they develop heatstroke
☀️ Exercising, playing and sitting in the sun can all cause heatstroke in dogs
☀️ Pavements can become much hotter than the air temperature in the sun and can cause severe burns on paw pads

Try walking your dog early in the morning or later in the evening. To tire out dogs try playing enrichment games in a shaded area.

Know the signs of heatstroke and if in doubt ring your vet!
