We're all moved in!

Tas Feline has a new storage area for all our show products and prizes. It was a lovely day for moving, stacking, counting and tip runs. Special thanks to Vanessa Sullivan for securing the facility for us.

Thank you to everyone who toiled away to clean out the new space - Chris and Lorraine snuck away before we could get a photo, so we added them back in with some creative cut & paste magic.

As you would see from the schedule we have two of our Junior Companion Judges Vanessa Sullivan and Charlotte Hawkes judging our wonderful companion cats.

We would LOVE to get as many companion exhibits as possible for this show!! If you have a cat and you are a new exhibitor who would like to show their pet cat, please contact us!

...AND THAT'S A WRAP!! After much hard work, blood, sweat and even an unexpected fire alarm - the Tas Feline - 2024 International Cat Gala is over. We would like to thank the following;

To the Gala helpers - Karen Maree Blake, Samantha Jade and Danny Hawkes for marshalling and keeping things ticking.

Finally a HUGE thank you to our exhibitors and the gorgeous cats and kittens they brought to share with everyone. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and are proud - the overall comments from the judges spoke of the high quality of cats presented and the high levels of grooming and care. Well done exhibitors - you represented our association so well!!

We will keep posting with photos and special moments, we are expecting many great photos to start coming in - so keep an eye out for more updates.

Need your cat fix? We are open from 9am-3pm tomorrow at the Silverdome in Launceston! Come and visit us and have a fun day out, tickets are $7.50 for adults and can be purchased at the door.

It’s that time again! Breed drop! This one is showcasing the gorgeous Oriental Longhair. The ideal cat is svelte, elegant, with long tapering line, supple and well-muscled. These are essentially Siamese/Balinese cats without colour markings restricted to points. The breed was officially recognized by the Cat Fanciers' Association in 1995. Its long, silky coat comes in an outstanding array of color and pattern combinations, and the cat is as personable as it is pretty. This curious, easygoing, and talkative breed is best suited to a home with lots of people or an extremely dedicated single owner. The oriental longhair loves company and hates to be left alone for long. We have one breeder from Tasmanian Feline Association who breeds Oriental Longhairs, Charlotte from Carbonel Cats.
