Someone in the comments on the original list commented that one of the reasons they were so endeared to the people of Ukraine is for their love of animals.

Received a call from the train station in Krakow that there was a refugee family of four with a cat that were homeless. We got to the train station an hour later to only find we were rescuing our first lion 😛.

In the last two days, Planting Peace has rescued 16 refugees from being homeless in the train station. They know to call us anytime a refugee family has a pet.

I want nothing more to get as many kids as I can to safety. It's costing Planting Peace roughly 35 dollars a night to get a family off the street and to feed them. One can donate online, right here on FB or on Venmo: PlantingPeace333.

Beloved, we managed to organize three evacuation transports of animals from Kyiv (Natalia Popova's sanctuary and fundation), we saved almost 20 big cats (lions, tigers), caracals, lycaon, arctic foxes, and by the way - several domestic cats and dogs. We sent humanitarian shipments to Kyiv with food for animals, food for people, and medicines - they happily arrived! Thank you for your support - we can help the heroine of Ukraine, Natalia Popova and the exotic and wild species she has saved.

Kochani, udało się nam trzykrotnie zorganizować transporty ewakuacyjne zwierząt spod Kijowa (azyl i fundacja dzikich zwierząt Natalii Popovej), uratowaliśmy prawie 20 dużych kotów (lwów, tygrysów), karakale, likaona, lisy polarne, a przy okazji- kilka kotów domowych i psów. Do Kijowa przesłaliśmy transporty humanitarne z karmą dla zwierząt, jedzeniem dla ludzi, lekami- dotarły szczęśliwie na miejsce! Dziękujemy za Wasze wsparcie- możemy pomagać bohaterce Ukrainy, Natalii Popovej i uratowanym przez nią gatunkom egzotycznym oraz dzikim.
