🥁📣I’ve got some big news to announce! 🥁

I’m happy to announce Legacy K9’s Riled Up Riley will be part of my breeding program and will be available for stud to approved females only!

Remember Riley, the sweet pup from Skye’s first litter, born and raised here with me (Tiffani ) at Legacy K9? Well, he’s all grown up—and he just officially passed all of his health clearances! Not only has he matured into one seriously handsome boy, but he’s also level-headed, intelligent, and just an all-around good dog. He’s got the drive and heart for herding, yet still loves to have fun with some dock diving on the side.

I’ve been so lucky to stay connected with his awesome owners, Bobby & Grace, who have truly gone above and beyond with him. The time, love, and effort they’ve poured into raising Riley shows in everything he does—and I’m incredibly proud of all three of them!

I’m also super excited to share that we’ll be co-owning Riley together going forward. I can’t think of better people to team up with, and I’m so grateful for the friendship we’ve built these last 3 years!

✨UPDATE ✨on my Border Collie program! Poppy was originally planned to be part of our breeding program, she would have had her first litter this year but due to her DNA results changing from carrier to at risk for vWD Type 1, I’ve made the decision to remove her from our program. Health is always my top priority, and I want to ensure the best possible future for our puppies. Poppy will be spayed and continue living her best life with my best friend. 

With this change, we won’t have any Border Collie puppies for a while. I’ll be adding a new female either at the end of this year or next spring, but it will still be about two years before we have a litter, as she’ll need to pass all health clearances first.

Yesterday the puppies did they’re
“Volhard puppy aptitude test”

The puppy aptitude test is a great tool to help us better understand our puppies’ personalities and strengths. It gives insight into their confidence, social tendencies, problem-solving skills, and how they respond to new experiences. While we don’t rely solely on the test—since a puppy’s mood on a given day can affect results—it’s a helpful piece of the puzzle when matching them with the right home.

Since I spend every day with our puppies, I get to know them deeply—their quirks, their play styles, and how they interact with the world around them. The test, combined with our hands-on experience, helps ensure each puppy goes to a family that fits their unique personality. At the end of the day, it’s all about setting them up for a happy and successful life! ❤️ I’ll post puppies individually results next!

Today, the boys had their vet appointment for their puppy exam, first set of shots, and deworming. The vet said they look and sound great, with no issues. 🐾🐶🐾
