Good morning all! This is a post I feel like I shouldnt have to make but here goes.

Yesterday at a show, a customer stopped me and says, "Such and such vendor (will remain unnamed) said we shouldnt buy spiders from you because you sell wild caught."

I dont know why said vendor felt like he should attack our business but we DO NOT and WILL NOT sell wild caught. Every animal on our table was bred by us, by another private breeder or imported from european breeders. Over 90% of what we sell is slings. That should be confirmation enough.

We support other vendors, even those selling the same animals at the same shows. We are never going to bad mouth another vender or try and steer a customer away from another vendor and we would appreciate the same respect, especially when its an outright lie.

All that nonsense out of the way, we have some really cool species that were really excited about landing this week. Stay tuned! 😁

Happy New Year! Big things coming for us this year! We continue to add more and more breeders to our inventory. We are currently working on a website and at some point soon, hope to offer shipping! As many of you know, we try to keep an inventory of species that are not readily available on most other venders tables. If there is a species you feel like we should carry that we currently arent, let us know! We have relationships with lots of private breeders as well as importers that bring in imports from european breeders. If its available, we'll do our best to find it assuming is available captive bred. We do not and will not sell wild caught.

We will be vending All Ohio Reptile Show and BRM Reptile & Exotics Expo monthly plus any other shows we can work into our schedule. We hope to see you all at a show soon! 😁🕷🕷🕷

Made a trip up to the Motor City today to buy a private collection. Added a couple mature female Poecilotheria metallica, a Theraphosa blondi and a Cyriopagopus lividus into the breeding stock. 😁 The cobalt is a little camera shy so no photo of her. 🤷‍♂️

Show promoters, you do the same. The silly games you play with each other only hurt your vendors and without vendors, you dont have a show.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our tables at the Ohio Reptile & More Expo. We love talking spiders with you all and we especially love it when we introduce new people to the tarantula hobby! The interactions at shows is why we do this. Expos are a lot of work but its also a lot of fun and we really enjoy it. Thank you all!

I had a lot of fun building the enclosure and Ill definitely be building more so look for more raffles at future shows! If you arent familiar with the Idiothele mira (Blue Foot Baboon), you should be. These may be my new favorite tarantula! An old world, fossorial, trap door tarantula. Feeding time for these guys is so much fun! Yes, we have several slings available. I have so much fun feeding ours, I forget to take pics or video so this photo is courtesy of Google images.

Pokies anyone? 😁 We have Poecilotheria metallica, Poecilotheria rufilata, Poecilotheria formosa, Poecilotheria regalis. Some of them with good size, 2"-3". Ill get some more photos as they settle in and come out.

We also have several Davus sp 'Panama' in stock. Lava spiders are my absolute favorite! They are really tiny right now (.33") but are one of the hardest spiders in the hobby to find. We have pulled several to add to our breeding stock so hopefully in the future we can always have lavas available and can aid in reducing the prices for you!

Raffle announcement!!!

We will be raffling this custom Exo Terra Mini Wide at the Ohio Reptile & More Expo on November 18/19. Custom build was inspired buy Tarantula Tastic Enclosures "Shallow Grave" enclosure. Substrate is Bio Dude Terra Aranea. Mesh top was removed and converted to an acrylic top so no risk of a tarantula getting its paws stuck. Exo Terra Mini Compact Hood included for cool lighting effects. Currently has a 3w blue LED to create effects without creating unwanted heat. Did I mention this will also come with a juvenile Green Bottle Blue tarantula?! This enclosure is going to look wicked cool once its all webbed up. 😁

Total value is roughly $400

Raffle tickets will be $2 each or three for $5. Also, anyone who purchases a spider from us at the show will recieve one free entry.

Winner will be drawn live at the end of the show on Sunday Nov 19. You do not need to be present to win but you do need to be somewhat local to arrange for pickup. Were excited to see you all at the show!
