There is nothing natural about large numbers of unfamiliar dogs partaking in high-intensity activity in a dog park, and this shouldn’t be the benchmark for a social dog. If your dog is not their best in such an environment, you are not doing anything wrong. 👏👏 There is nothing wrong with your dog. 👏👏 Your dog is normal. 👏👏

Bronco had become the sheriff in his own home when we first started the basic obedience program - he followed the rules…that he made! 😫🤠 👮♂️
Over these six weeks, these owners have worked hard and implemented structure, discipline and obedience into this high-drive shepherd. Now they are able to enjoy walks without pulling, going to new environments with control, and came out with a well-rounded pup. Bronco came a long way during our training sessions, and I couldn’t be more proud of him! 🥹💖🎉
I know these owners will keep working as hard as they have been, and I can’t wait to see how far they will go. See you around, big man! ❤️
My sweet Lilly Bug graduated today! 👩🎓 🐶 ⭐️
When Lilly first began with me, she was just a wee pup! She lacked leash manners and was in need of some structure. 🚧 I was up for the challenge!
We worked hard with Mrs. Lilly to perfect things like heeling on a loose leash, socializing in new environments like Downtown Woodstock, and most of all - how to have fun while doing it! 🤩❤️🔥
Today, Lilly graduated and was able to take a lovely walk with her parents with no pulling. This was most important to them, so I’m happy to see that they have the dog they dreamed of. 🥹💖

These two pups are Murphy and Millie! They have decided to tackle my basic obedience program for issues such as jumping and being overly excited when people come into the house, pulling on the leash, and Murphy had the tendency to be a bit reactive when meeting new people. 🐾 🐶
I am ready to take on the challenge! With confidence, leadership, and structure, we are working hard to turn these two pups into every dog owners dream. 🤩💖⭐️

Bronco took on Home Depot for his lesson this week! This big guy has started to work on his socialization and did an awesome job with all of the friendly strangers, sounds, carts, and more! Being a shepherd, Bronco has a super high drive and loves to work. This was the perfect place to test his obedience and see just how far he could go. 😎⭐️💖
Bronco did such a good job with his heel, sit and down stays, and most of all - staying in tune with his owner! This kid has come leaps and bounds from when we first started…and it only goes up from here! 🆙 🔝 🫡

Most times, socialization is seen as dogs being able to play together - I like to take a different approach to this. By having dogs train together, they are able to become familiar while in a controlled environment. Aggie (on right) gets extremely excited meeting new people and dogs, however, she did extremely well with her friend Stanley on this day in Downtown Woodstock. She was able to be close, smell, and become more confident in her friendship while following commands. What an awesome day of training! 🥳🐶🥰

When Gertie first started, she had some problems with pulling on the leash, reactivity to cars, other dogs, etc. It was to the point to where this pup could not be trusted around other dogs! However - Gertie and her owner worked hard for six weeks to perfect her obedience commands so we could one day be able to walk freely with other dogs, and today was that day! 🥳💖🐾
Gertie has officially made a friend in my foster dog, Aggie! Today, we were able to conquer Rope Mill Park with wagging tails and happy smiles. I couldn’t be more thrilled with her progress! 🥹🐕💘
Gertie - I adore you and your willfulness, serious training face, and sweet kisses when I come into the door. Keep working hard - it’s what you do best! ❤️

Bronco here is starting my basic obedience program! He likes to pull his mama down the street and wants everyone to be his friend. We’re hooking him up with some leash obedience to avoid pulling and lunging at cars.
We tackled lesson one today, and this sweet boy did awesome! We worked on the heel command while changing pace and perfecting his sit. I can’t wait to see how far this goofy guy goes!! ❤️ 🐕 🥺

Stanley and his owner have been working hard this past week on his heel and sit commands, so this week we stepped it up a notch and took to the neighborhood! Stanley did a great job maintaining his stay and coming when called. Awesome work from this sweet boy. ❤️🐾

Eve and Aggie had a blast at Downtown Woodstock yesterday! 🤩🐾🐕
These sweet girls have been working very hard this past week, so they were treated with a day out! They had a blast being curious and meeting new people & pups. Woodstock is full of distractions and can be a difficult place for a dog to concentrate, but they both did an awesome job staying in tune with their trainers! 😎💖🐾
