We (Chris and Stephanie) are a young married couple living in Nashville, and we both grew up with household dogs and pets. We love our Goldendoodle, Ruby, like she is our child. (We don't have any children...yet!) Ruby has brought so much joy to our lives, and it is our dream to share the happiness through raising puppies for others to love as their babies! Ruby is an extremely silly, spunky, and
intelligent dog. She is very well trained and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen. Ruby loves playing with balls, running laps around our backyard, and snuggle time. She is a red F1b Goldendoodle, meaning she is 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever. (Her mom is an F1 Goldendoodle, and her dad is a Poodle.) We have not noticed any shedding from her at all. She is genetically health tested and cleared (Wisdom Panel’s Optimal Selection). We only breed with Studs that also have stellar genetics. What is the Goldendoodle breed all about? Goldendoodles are a cross between a Poodle and a Golden Retriever, making them an excellent choice for families with allergies. They are known as a Hypoallergenic breed, meaning they have very minimal shedding, if any. Because they have hair instead of typical fur, they need to be groomed regularly. Because of their genetics, Goldendoodles are great family dogs and are generally very good with children. They are not guard dogs but are very intelligent, so they will likely let you know if they see the Amazon delivery man coming to your door. :) All around, they have a very happy temperament and love to play! They need proper exercise, so daily walks are encouraged. If you are interested in one of our puppies, please send us a message with more info about your family and lifestyle. We treat these babies like our own and want to know they are going to amazing forever homes. Raising a puppy is a big commitment, and we want this to be a successful and wonderful experience for you! When a litter is confirmed through ultrasound (about one month before puppies are born), we begin accepting deposits for first picks. Deposits are Non-Refundable and go towards the purchase price of the puppy. The remainder is due when you pick up your puppy to take home. When puppies are born, you are welcome to make your selection based on pictures, or you can make your pick after visiting the puppies in person at 4 weeks of age. Personalities begin to emerge when puppies are around 4 weeks old. You can take your puppy home at 8 weeks of age. We generally do not travel to deliver dogs but can, on a case-by-case basis, meet in a city surrounding the Nashville area. Do you require Spay/Neuter? Our contract states that you will have your puppy spayed or neutered when it is full grown, which is usually by 9 months of age. Your Vet can help determine the proper time to have this done. Our puppies are to be family pets, so we do not give breeding rights. How do you care for the puppies before I can take mine home? We raise these babies in our home, so they will be very well-socialized, and we highly prioritize the health and nutrition of our puppies! We remove the dewclaws shortly after birth. During the first few weeks of the puppies’ lives, Ruby will primarily care for them, and we assist in all ways needed. Ruby will begin to teach the puppies good behavior, and they will learn interaction skills with littermates. We gradually wean them off of Ruby’s milk, so they will happily eat puppy food by the time you take your baby home. We take care of the first round of vaccinations for your puppy and deworm them several times. You will receive a Vaccination record for you to give to your Vet at your first checkup. What happens when I take my puppy home at 8 weeks? The fun begins with loving on and training your new puppy! We ask that you to take your puppy to your family Vet within 72 hours of receiving your pup to confirm their great health. We offer a standard one-year genetic health guarantee. Do you offer refunds? What if I can no longer take care of my puppy? We do not offer refunds. However, we love these babies, and, should you ever find yourself unable to properly take care of your puppy, please contact us!
