Hi Folks Gus here. WOW life has sure changed for me. Living with Taffy,Zippy and my favourite shelter human has been fun, scary, challenging but so exciting. We go on trail walks in the bush in all sorts of weather and now she has me doing the city streets. I get lots of hugs and treats when we get home. Mom says we are going to raise funds for Pet Save the organization that helped save me and where we met. There is a walkathon next month so I need to practice my courage. If you would like to help me save some other dogs and cats you can etransfer my mom [email protected].

Hi Folks its me Gus. I have been so busy no time to share my stories. I am still living with Taffy ,her cat brother Zippy and her human mom. She says I can call her mom too. They sure keep me busy but I get to sleep on some comfy beds, my belly is always full and Taffy shows me lots of cool stuff.

I will try to share my experiences even though some have been scary.

I thought it was Christmas again we got gifts!!!
Wylie says no silly its valentine's. She got me a new leash to keep walking with her. Wow!!. Glad Taffy's mom found this sign for me to give her.

I've been told those snow cars aren't on this other trail. I hope not cuz I like meeting for play dates with this girl named Wylie. Did I tell you she is cute. Lol Taffy really runs with her but I just like to hang back with humans.

Omg there are cars on my safe walk trail!!! They said it was snow machine but that's a car. Noisy scary let me go home. Thankfully Taffy's mommy hugged me and kept me safe. Couch please let me back on my couch.

These walks can be fun after truck rides. We meet up with this other dog ( she's cute)and her mom( super nice) . No cars just lots of snow and trees. First few times I was still really scared but now I kind of like it.

I've been told this is the last day of 2022 whatever that mean. I do know looking through this window with Taffy and sharing a couch with Zippy are much better than the last day of 2021 when all my "family" and I where just getting used to the shelter. That seems so long ago and it was better than the scary house before. I was given this new collar and there is a new "smell" in the house. Its nice

This isn't fair she still wants me to go for walks!! Why? Taffy is all excited but I don't want to go. I try to turn around or go in to any other house but they won't let me. After what felt like forever (10 minutes) we got to go home. Back to my couch

Well I've staying in this house for a few weeks and now she puts this funny collar on me. Taffy and I where each given a bag that we could break into. I guess Merry Christmas means new toys. Wow!!! I've never had Chistmas before this is awesome

I guess I have been a good boy because she let's me stay. Well I was bad the last time she brought me back to the shelter. I was happy to see Buddy and the rest of the gang but i was afraid she was going to leave me. I kept jumping and scratching the door. This safe shelter didn't feel good anymore.All the barking scared me i want to go back with Taffy. Her place is fun and quiet.

Everytime time she put me in the truck I needed help. Wow it's high my legs can't push me up. But when we arrive back at this house I just want to run right in. I know I'm safe

Hey everyone Gus here. So lots has been happening to me since my last post. This lady kept coming to get me and let me spend the night then 2 then 3 nights. I am learning so much but it is also so scary. The one she calls Taffy shares her stuff with me and sleeps with me so I don't feel lonely. I miss Buddy but she is fun so is the little guy Zippy.I promise I will try to share more of my story. Here's a hint I am still at her house❤❤❤

I got to stay the night. Wow different beds and so many strange sounds and things to look and and jump on. What a place!!! Scary though I think I need to go back to Buddy this is so stressful I don't know where to go or what to do

My favourite lady and the long legged dog she calls her Taffy, came and picked me up for a truck ride. Where are we going? Omg!!! Where is this house? All these different things and smells. This little guy is pretty cool he just let me sniff him. We might be friends. Ooh different yard and no cars. Yeah!!

The days are getting cooler again but now they say Luna needs to learn from Buddy and I to let people pet her. We try to tell her it's nice but she just runs away. She is fast too its exhausting to play outside with her.

What a summer. They keep taking us out on leashes and introducing us to new people. So stressful. Now the long legged dog is back to visit and for some reason we had to get a "bath" why??? The body message felt good but do we have to get wet? I'm glad Buddy is with me we understand each other

Being in the big front room means they keep bringing us out front on leashes. No! We just want to go play out back. Favourite lady brought that long legged dog back to visit. I think Buddy really likes her. He he! She is fun and we got to play out back. I think I like her too

So after showing that I can learn to go in my cratie all by myself they move us to the front room again. I don't like change I was happy in my cratie. The room is neat though big glass thing to look out of. Sort of like looking out from the truck. Now we have to meet more people. Yikes!! And little people. Buddy is braver than me. He says they are nice. Its exhausting !

My favourite lady says I need to show people how smart I am. She calls my kennel cratie and says I am a good boy when I go in. She says it will help me find a home. Ok? But isn't this place home? I like her so will do what she asks

The ladies keep taking me out the front door want me to walk . No way!! Then I saw this other dog in that truck. Whoa! When I growled and barked at him he barked back!!! The ladies laughed said it was me! What?? I don't understand what a reflection is? He was scary

Back in the truck. Not so bad once we are in together. Peanut says it's cool to look out at the world. It is kind of like a safe room that takes us places. Hmm maybe I will like this but it's hard to get in and out. Our legs aren't strong enough to lift us. The nice ladies help though. Glad to be back in our rooms. We have never been so tired

What a day!! We all tried to find the fence but this yard is BIG!! Then the ladies said we all had to get a bath. Bath?? Never had that. Whoa!! It means we all had to get wet and they put stuff on us while rubbing our bodies. Weird it kinda felt good but still scary. Nala is crazy she just kept going back in the water spot. They called it swimming?? Nala said it helped cool her down. I think I'll just stay to hiding in the trees

What are these people doing to me?? One Saturday my 2 favourite shelter ladies came and put me and my family inside one of those scary trucks. I don't like walking near them why would i want to be inside one?? Where are we going? I'm glad Buddy, Ella and Luna are with me. Luna thinks it will be fun, crazy girl. Nala, Peanut, Momma and Blue went in the other lady's truck. They said we are going to the moose pen. What is a moose?

Blue told me he went for a walk with the 2 strange dogs that they are really nice. He didnt get kissed like I did maybe he should have growled like me. He he. They went all the way down to where this other playground that Bart talks about is. Too far for me I still don't like leaving the yard those noisy cars are really scary

My new friends told me they met one of my relatives Momma 2 at this thing called a walk a thon. Lots of people and other dogs that seems scary. Buddy and I are just happy to play in the igloo or roll our blankets into ponchos why would we want to walk off this yard where we are safe

Hey everyone look I've been practicing but my favourite lady introduced me to 2 new dogs. I don't know where they came from and it's weird they aren't scared of me. I tried to act tough to be safe but nothing in fact the skinny girl actually kissed me. Ooh! What do I do? I've never met dogs outside my family. The ladies say growls don't mean hello. More new rules to learn.

Ever since the snow left these ladies insist I should keep practicing trying to walk.Blue and Momma are so brave they will go alone. Buddy and I try but there are these loud scary things they call cars. We just want to run back to the safe house or in the trees. Celia, Bart and Norris they go together and said there is another fun park but it is to far for Buddy and I. We will just watch

One day the ladies brought us some new toys. Wierd toys they bounce and are hard to bite. I just watch Blue and Buddy run after them. Buddy likes to steal his. Lol

I knew this leash "practice " thing was a bad idea. Now the ticklie grass is back and my favourite evening lady is wanting me to go out the wrong door. Omg! It is so scary, loud noises people I just want to go back with Buddy
