I got a call from a woman on vacation who wanted to check in on her young cat. I saw the cat sitting on the floor, eyes wide, looking around. "What's going on?" I asked her. "Where's my mom!" she exclaimed. "She'll be home soon. Is there anything that can help until then?" I queried. "Yes!" she replied, accompanied by the image of clothing. Mom said she would call home and ask that some of her clothes be put in her bed. With this knowledge, the cat sighed and became relaxed.

It's always sad when an animal makes the choice to leave this plane and move on to the next after countless people try to assist in its healing and well-being. I was surprised to learn that a wolf that I'd had the pleasure of connecting with several times had recently made such a decision that left the humans who tried to help dumbfounded. In the end, it was the wolf's choice, and the only recourse is to honor that and understand that he was on his path. I'm grateful for knowing such an amazing soul and feel lucky to have been on his "team."
