During a health check with a Rottie mix, I saw something on her throat near her jaw and decided to take a closer look. "I don't like this. It bothers me," she explained. "Does it hurt?" I asked. "No, just a bother," she answered with a cranky tone. "Does it get in the way of your eating or drinking?" I continued. "No!" she exclaimed. "Okay, okay. No need to get angry," I said. "How are you liking the changes to your food?" I asked. "I like it. More, please," was her answer. This made her Mom giggle because she was constantly asking for more. "Mom says that's all you can have," I told the Rottie, who scowled back. "Sorry, sweetie. Mom says no more," I said. Now sulking, the Rottie decided she didn't want to talk any more and walked away. At this point, we're all laughing out loud.

Another client needed to connect and talk with her recently crossed-over dog, and once the connection was established, the dog said, "Tell her thank you, thank you for letting me go. I am free!" With that also came an image of her looking youthful, playing and bouncing in a field of tall grass. "See Mom! No more pain!" the dog continued. When I shared all of this with Mom, she wept quietly and said, "Tell her I'm so glad that she's okay and feeling well." Upon hearing this, the dog began bouncing in the field again and then responded, "I am still with her, and she can feel me." "I can!" exclaimed Mom. By the end of the conversation, both felt more at ease after connecting and sharing their love for one another.

"How are you feeling?" I asked the woman's aged dog. "I'm ready, but I'll stay until she is. She needs time," the dog answered. So, I shared this information with the woman, who then became very emotional and understandably so. We talked about what this meant and what the coming days would be like. The woman wanted to know if the elderly dog was in any pain, so I asked, and she responded with, "No." I explained to the woman that her dog wasn't spending much time in her body as she was drifting between this realm and the spirit realm, not focusing on her physical body and its issues. After talking things through, the woman ultimately decided not to make her dog stay because of her own needs. Both she and the dog were at peace with this decision.

Often times, when I'm connected to an animal that has crossed over, the clients will talk about what's going on for them in their personal lives as well as the choices and decisions they're contemplating. During that time, the animal spirits will voice an opinion about what's being discussed, whether the individual wants to hear it or not. For example, a client called to talk with a particular crossed-over animal, but another animal also wanted to talk that knew this person. And these animals were not shy about sharing their opinions, either! So know that your crossed over animals will follow you too, see what goes on in your lives, and try to guide you from the other side. They only want the best for the humans that they love—always.

When a woman and I visited her recently crossed-over dog, we found her to be joyful, bright-eyed, energetic, and puppy-like. The first thing the dog said to Mom was, "Tell her to put as much effort into her own health as she did mine. She did so much for me, and I want her to do the same for herself." Mom responded, "Tell her I will," while holding back tears. "I appreciate everything, but now it's your turn. I want you to feel good too," the dog continued. I told the dog that Mom agreed that it was her turn and that she was going to get serious about her well-being. "Tell her that I love her and that I'm still there," said the dog. Mom could no longer hold back her tears.

"Mum, I want to go out and play," Millie said. "It's pouring rain, honey," I replied. "I don't like the rain," she went on to say. "I know," I said. "Make it stop, Mum," she said, as if inconvenienced. "We need the rain, girl," I responded. Now she looks at me as if I'm crazy. "Okay, fine. Let's go out," I suggested. So I opened the door, and she ran into the backyard, stopped, and then dashed back to the door to come in. "Well?" I asked, "What do you think?" Without a word, she jumped into her nice, cozy, warm bed and stayed for the remainder of the afternoon. She had to find out on her own. Terriers!

Walking through the aisles at a horse show recently, a young horse saw me and began whinnying frantically, "Come help me....please!" It was clear that this was his first horse show, and he was overwhelmed by the chaos and noise around him. "Okay," I said, and began sending him calming, relaxing energy. His head began to droop, and his eyes softened as I watched the tension leave his body. After a short while, he was able to lay down in his stall and get some rest. "Is that all you need from me?" I asked. "Yes, thank you," he replied, looking at me. "Anytime. It was my pleasure."

I was asked to speak to a cat with new behavioral issues. "Mom says you're acting differently. What's going on?" I asked. The cat, making faces at her housemate, replied, "Tell him to stay away from me." "What has he done?" I asked. "He thinks he's the boss, but he's not. I am!" she exclaimed. "Oh, okay. Is there anything else?" I replied. "Tell Mom to fix him!" she said. Her mom and I then discussed the physical issues with the other cat that he was experiencing and that needed to be addressed. When we finished talking about him, I went back to the Queen and told her that we had a plan to make him better. "Finally! Thank you," she said, glancing over her shoulder as she walked away. Well, I guess she's done!
