Unfortunately, lil warrior princess Zena did not make it. 💔

Despite rushing to BMAD where she received drips, and from there to Paws N Claws, where she received more drips and also managed to eat a lil, Zena was already hypothermic by then. Still, we saw that she was a little fighter & wanted to live, so it is very heartbreaking that she lost the battle.

Millions of kittens die like this and in worse ways every day in India. Zena atleast got a little help to linger on though a few more hours longer. Most suffer & die in silent agony. Like every living being, Zena too wanted to live & was fighting to survive. Her tiny lil body might have given up, but her spirit did not.

Please please vaccinate & sterilize your streeties. The amount of money spent on a movie & a pizza costs far more. Let's be responsible & do the right thing for the animals who struggle to survive in our harsh outdoors. Pls feed them & help them receive medical care.

I didn't mean to launch into preach mode, but I'm tired of seeing too many innocent souls suffer like this all the time despite all the awareness we try to create!

I'm grateful to Raj for driving me around yesterday. He spotted her & immediately wanted to help her & reached out in a group. I responded & offered to go with him & do the needful. He left his restaurant work without a second thought & that needs to be appreciated.

I'm grateful to each one of you who reached out & thought of her & sent prayers her way.

I'm grateful to Jaya, Anjana, Maya and Shyla Aunty, Sheejah, and Anandini Bokil whom I don't even know, for sending funds for Zena's medical treatment. Thank you for your promptness, & bless your kind hearts & generosity. 💐 May the Universe shower blessings upon each of you & all the innocent animals and gentle human souls. 🌷✨ It's because of the support of good people that I can continue doing whatever little I can.

Most of all, I am grateful to lil Zena for teaching me life lessons, allowing me to observe & try & learn from her spiritedness, & giving me an opportunity to serve her. 🙏

This kitten met with an accident and is currently undergoing treatment. He may need a fosterer now and someone to adopt him. I don't want to add pressure to individual rescuers who are already doing a lot, but it would be helpful if you could share this with everyone you know so that anyone with time and resources can help him. Aura is the mascot of AuraVilla - our cat home stay and ironically it was started on 22nd May 2021, very suddenly because of a medical emergency faced by the family and their 2 cats came to stay with us for almost 3 months !

It is indeed not a coincidence that Aura was born on 21st May and we decided to start a home based boarding in his name, and that too got inadvertently launched on 22nd May 2021, 2.5 yrs after thinking of starting one ! But look at the closeness of the dates !! The pandemic happened in between plus all my other 3 cats Joon, Sayee and Sparkle, came into my home and heart during the lockdown !

Pls do wish Aura on his birthday and tell us your special wish for him if he has touched your life in some way. 😍❤️🙏 I promise to read all the wishes to him. Trust me, he listens and understands ! 🤩 My boy is super intelligent 🤓

Aura is my whole heart and I can write reams about him but today I want to just spend time with him and thank him for coming into my lif. 😭💗💞💓💝🙏

Aura entered my hearth, home and heart on 11th June 2019. I want to celebrate it from today onwards and will share here all the posts I had made on FB on him, from back then.

The year Sir Honey Pai entered our lives with a cute bum shake, a swish of his tail and his uniquely captivating and mesmerizing melting brown eyes. 😍

Honey was always an angel but since 2016, he is an angel with wings. With us only a short period of 4 years, he left us with unforgettable memories for life after adopting us via CAD, an adoption drive event in 2012.

Honey was my first furry son, and has a huge space within my heart furever and always. ✨

So grateful for his calm and loving presence in our lives, at a time when we needed him the most. 💝💓

It's finally here !!! Don't remember being this excited about waiting for a package to arrive with so much eagerness and anticipation ever in my life ! 😅

This is not a regular backpack. It is a peek and a ride to the great outdoors for my indoor fur babies.

Cat parents (of fully indoor cats) use a lot of enrichment and variety to keep our furkids entertained at home and this ingenious idea by based out of Mumbai, is a lifesaver !

They have been making these for a while now and are super popular. I've been following their insta and looking at these bags for months, wondering if I should get one. Finally decided to go for it !

Hope my babies love it as much as I do ! 🤞😻

AWARENESS POST

Pls check your vehicles every time before you start them.

Cats & kittens tend to climb into them and can be found inside the hood or on top of tyres, and wherever they can when they seek warmth, in this cold and rainy weather.

Knock and bang on your vehicles so that they can climb out before the engine is started.

There are many instances of kittens climbing inside vehicles and getting separated from their mothers and siblings when the vehicle moves and parks elsewhere.

Please spare a thought for these tiny creatures who brave the weather without proper shelter against the rough elements.

They do not have the luxury to be indoors like some of our animal companions.

In a world where you as a human can be anything, pls be kind. 🌷

This beautiful squirrel 🐿️ is used to only Whiskas Ocean fish dry food and Whiskas salmon or chicken wet pouch, ever since she adopted her hooman, earlier this year.

In between her long stay with us, she grew bored with the wet food and some/most of what she left went to the cattos outside. They of course relished it ! 😸

After discussing with her hooman, we decided to try and switch her food a bit to make life a lil less boring ! 🐱

So on Diwali day, she got treats galore ! A new set of pouches in different flavours plus a MeO creamy treat as well !! This lil girl lapped it all up !! So much so that she gobbled two Sheba pouches one after another ! 🙀

Hey, it was festival time, after all. Who said only hoomans get to celebrate ?! 🥳🎉🐾✨😼

The many moods of a gorgeous green eyed beauty, Ms. Achu. 😻

She has prepared and taught her hooman about her own impending pregnancy, birth and motherhood in the last 6 months. Thankfully, Achu's own kittens found homes and her hooman while initially hesitant, eventually got Achu also spayed.

Madam is now enjoying the good cushy & comfy life as an indoor cat with me, until her hooman takes her back and returns to her husband's home along with their human baby.

Achu Aunty as I call her, is rediscovering kittenhood after living the harsh life outdoors as a feral cat for approximately 5 years❣️

There are a few free roaming Persian kittens from a nearby house that hang out in the neighbouring houses and compounds / yards / buildings. Have seen a pure white, grey, black -- and now this new small grey, of late.

Not sure if they are getting proper care and attention. They all seem dull and sad.

Pls take care of your furry companions well. If one cannot do so, it is not fair to have them or keep them.

And buying and selling animals is a strict no-no. Dumping or abandoning animals is shameful.

Ensure to take responsibility for their lifetime. Be there for them through thick and thin. They are dependent on us for their very existence.

Please be kind to animals. And teach your family, friends and kids to do the same. Let's make this world a better place for human children and animals ❣️☺️

Officially, today - August 8 - is International Cat Day ❣️😺

But for us at AuraVilla, EVERY DAY IS CAT DAY ! 💕🤩😻

Cats are extremely beautiful, intelligent, sensitive beings. The Egyptians used to worship cats. Cats are mystical creatures. Yet they are also comical, cute as buttons, and funny like cartoons, providing us with 24/7 entertainment ! 😸

Cats are loving and playful and we can write reams and reams about them ! ☺️

We are surrounded by cats every day and we feel immensely blessed ❣️🙏

Respect cats.
Love them.
Treasure them.
Feed them, play with them.
Take care of them forever.

NEVER EVER BUY CATS. . The same rule applies for every other species from the animal kingdom.

Once you have them as companions in your home (we do not like the word, PET), NEVER EVER GIVE THEM UP.

NEVER ABANDON THEM.

We cannot stress this enough. The kind of trauma that animals go through when disrespected by humans is horrifying. It is extremely heartbreaking to see indoor animals no longer wanted in a home.

If humans get a cat home, they must commit to the cat's care for his/her entire lifetime. Otherwise do not take the cat in in the first place.

It is simply unacceptable to change one's mind later as per convenience later! Giving up an animal and / or abandoning one that is used to living with and dependent on humans is inexcusable.

Do we humans treat our human family members that way ? No doubt, there are many humans who l abandon their elderly parents or disabled children. That is a whole different level of selfishness. But doing that with a helpless vulnerable innocent animal is unforgivable.

A cat is a life and not a toy.

Speaking of toys, we received a package from today - how apt is that ! 😺 Thank you CP, for making cool furniture for our babies !! 😻
