AM I WRONG TO CHARGE MY DAUGHTER FOR BABYSITTING MY GRANDSON?
When she became a mom, I took on the role of a full-time babysitter for my grandson. I got up at 4:45 AM to come to them, but thankfully, it was usually only 3 days a week.
The first year, I babysat for about 8-9 hours each day. Then, my husband's and my financial situation changed due to a healthcare crisis and bills. I had to get a job again.
It was humiliating to ask my child for money to care for my grandson, but that's what I did. We agreed she would pay me /week, or about /dColin Jacksony.
Now she's pregnant again. I joked that after the baby is born, I was considering raising the rates from /day to /day. She completely lost it, threatening to just put them both in daycare and never let me see them again.
