What an amazing weekend at the CFA cat show in Daytona beach. We had such an amazing time! The beautiful pedigree cats and shows to the networking event with rescues all over the state. We watched as every single rescue hard adoptions. We are one of the most successful with 8 of 9 animals adopted! We not only adopted our 8 cats, but two great Dane puppies that were abandoned at my veterinary clinic this week. We also have applications in for our last boy Sake! This weekend would not have been possibly without the hard work of volunteers. Lia Jean House is our angel helping to get everything done last minute when we were invited to the event. Then helping at the event with supportive cuddles and talking with adoptive pet parents. We also are so thankful for those who donated carriers for us to transport these kitties! Thank you to DeLand Cat Cafe for showing us the event too! This event for the rescues hosted by Charlene Campbell was the huge help we needed! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy tails for our siblings Onyx and Jade! We are so happy for them with their new family!

We also had brothers Thorn and Cedar adopted today together! We are over the moon happy for all of our cats and kittens and their new families!

This is a desperate plea. We are over capacity and need homes and fosters. We need help. Our local shelters have turned us away due to being at capacity as well. We need help with food, litter, donations and volunteers. We help because no one else well but now we need it the most. Please consider helping our feline friends.

We desperately need homes for these sweet adult kitties!

Thorn & Cedar are adorable brothers left over from their litter from last year that were all adopted. Black cats unfortunately are the most looked over cats in shelters so we really hope we can find them loving home or homes!

Sake is a very sweet boy from last kitten season also almost a year old. He’s very shy but warms up and loves to rub up on your legs and beg for food. He will need patience when adapting to a new environment.

Cal is a special case saved from OCAS euthanasia list after being labeled as aggressive due to being scared in a shelter environment. After many months of trusting exercises he has become the sweetest cuddle bug. He loves to talk and sit in your lap. He does need a patient owner while he adjusts to a new setting when adopted.

Sophie has been with us the longest almost 4 years now. She is an absolute doll and loves attention and to be a lap kitty.

We are so so so beyond thankful to one of our amazing volunteers! Not only did she decide to spend her Saturday helping to deep clean and care for our foster cats and kitties she brought goodies from our wishlist! She even picked up a mop after she heard our bissel cross-wave died this week!

We are beyond humbled on days like this. We appreciate our volunteers so much. My husband and I are both working full time and have 3 kiddos in addition to all of our rescue animals and all of them combined is a full time job, so any help is amazing! Thank you so much Lia! It won’t let me tag you! 🙏🏻❤️

The kittens just never end. I am at work this afternoon and the tractor supply staff (I run a veterinary wellness center inside of it) have this little one waiting for me who showed up outside my clinic door. Please consider donating because this is now the 9th kitten in my care since Saturday!

Tractor supply and all stores have tax free items for hurricane prep. We are in need of carriers, kennels, litter boxes, cat litter, p*e pads, and canned food for rescue evacuations. We are in a manufactured in an area that has no paved roads so we have to leave any time a big storm comes in. Please consider donating these supplies to help our rescue kitties stay safe this hurricane season. 🙏🏻🐾❤️

Pumpkin is waiting for her forever home! Pumpkin is a very sweet girl who loves attention. She was shy at first when she came to our rescue and is now very affectionate. She is a beautiful long haired girl. She gets along well with other cats and doesn’t seem to mind dogs. She would love to be your next lap kitty!
She is 6 years old. She would do great in a home with at least one cat as a companion.

Meet our newest foster Opossum! Her coloring and little pink nose remind me of one! Opossum came in to my work today after literally 6 people coming with found kittens.

She was found under pallets in a horse barn.
Opossum is 9 weeks old and has a possibly broken jaw. She has damage to the right side of her face and canine. We expect to heal. She also has a broken tail that makes her even more adorable. At only 9 weeks old this poor little girl has been through a lot. She is an absolute love bug! She will be vaccinated and spayed when she’s healed and she is looking for her new home!

Many of you that follow us see that we started a feline rescue last year. Forever Feline Rescue Network we had decided recently to close the rescue due to our mental health after battling Panleuk and neonates. Rescuing takes its toll more than I’d like to admit. We still have many foster animals in our care. We have zero funding, and donations have stopped entirely unfortunately everyone is struggling. We had filed last year to become an official corporation and rescue to pursue our goal to reduce cat populations by spay and neutering, as well as providing shelter for cats and kittens in need of homes. We received the paperwork back after months that we needed to do a document change and to reapply. We chose not to as this was the middle of battling Panleuk. Today after almost a year I am very surprised after I opened the mail to our official articles of corporation. This is a mix of emotions but also excitement. This is real, this is happening. We will have our tax number shortly and be able to receive many more resources we did not have access to before.

We are still closed as a rescue as we are still as full capacity unfortunately but this opens so many doors for us, and Forever Feline Rescue Network Inc.
We are so excited and also nervous as ever! 🐾

I am very sorry to say but our rescue is closing. We unfortunately have not the funding or resources to continue caring for our foster cats and kittens. We are also extremely emotionally drained after the hardest year of our lives. Compassion fatigue takes a toll and we unfortunately know it’s what’s best for our family and our current animals in our care. We are so thankful for our amazing followers who followed our journey. Please contact your local animal shelter for help with any felines. Lake county has a wait till 8 program for neonate kittens. They can also help with spay and neuter services. Traps can be loaned from the shelter and from Leash Inc. Please contact the humane society, lake county animal shelter, and other rescues for feline intakes. Everyone is full right now and kitten season will be starting soon. We all want to make sure the resources are out there for you. Please make sure to vaccinate your pets, and spay neuter to help animals in your local community.
