Keanu Reeves is a true dog lover 🐾

This is Matrix movie star Keanu Reeves. He was abandoned by his father at 3 years old and grew up with 3 different stepfathers. He is dyslexic. His dream of becoming a hockey player was shattered by a serious accident. His daughter died at birth. His wife died in a car accident. His best friend, River Phoenix, died of an overdose. His sister battled leukemia.

No bodyguards, no luxury houses. Keanu lives in an ordinary apartment and likes wandering around town and often seen riding a subway in NYC.

When he was filming the movie "The Lake House," he overheard the conversation of two costume assistants, one crying as he would lose his house if he did not pay $20,000 - On the same day, Keanu deposited the necessary amount in his bank account. In his career, he has donated large sums to hospitals including $75 million of his earnings from “The Matrix” to charities.
In 2010, on his birthday, Keanu walked into a bakery & bought a brioche with a single candle, ate it in front of the bakery, and offered coffee to people who stopped to talk to him.

In 1997 some paparazzi found him walking one morning in the company of a homeless man in Los Angeles, listening to him and sharing his life for a few hours. In life, sometimes the ones most broken from inside are the ones most willing to help others.

This man could buy everything, and instead every day he gets up and chooses one thing that cannot be bought, a dogs love.

♦️Jerome Horwitz, famous for playing CURLY in "THE THREE STOOGES", was known to all as a protector of dogs. Curly's contract with Columbia Pictures included a clause that allowed his dogs to accompany him on the studio lot. Columbia limited it to no more than two dogs at a time, this due to the puppies' unplanned on-camera appearances from time to time. You can still see those surprise dog on set invasions in the first few short films. Typically surrounded by various dogs, Curly was known to come home with a stray dog ​​and foster it until he could find it a permanent home. When the Stooges were out on the road, Curly took it upon himself to find a new home for at least one stray dog ​​in every town they visited. Curly is estimated to have saved and rescued more than 5,000 dogs in his lifetime. This makes him a man ahead of his time, with a very admirable concern for man's best friend.❤️

Dizzy is a happy-go-lucky kinda guy. He loves attention and will make sure you know he is happy to see you by getting the zoomies and giving kisses every time you come by! 🥰 He is a typical puppy with tons of energy between naps and the kind of excitement that makes every day fun! He loves playing with his furry foster brothers and chewing on toys. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly through the night. He is a love bug and would fit in with any family!!

Today I adopted a human...
"It broke my heart to see him so alone and confused. I suddenly saw his watery eyes as he looked into mine. So I barked with all my might and went after him, the following from house to house. Finally, I got close enough to touch his hand with my nose. The man smiled and I felt his cold heart begin to warm.
I moved closer to his face and felt his tears start to flow. I looked at him and he replied with a beautiful smile. I jumped into his lap excitedly, promising that I would be fine, that I would love him forever, and that I would never leave him. How lucky that he passed by where I was and that we could meet like that. I felt lucky too.
So many people have been there, but only he, only he, looked at me. I'm glad he made a choice and that I was able to save his life.
I adopted a person."

Oklahoma Friends….

Our hearts hurt for Remi 💔 Remi has been with our program for over two years. She has been in three different foster homes. She is now alone in boarding. 💔

Remi is a happy-go-lucky girl who loved to show off her strut at one of our adoption events (pictured). She tried her best to make someone fall in love with her - and it’s hard not to! She does great with other dogs. She is potty trained and a great house guest. We honestly don’t know why this girl hasn’t found her forever, except maybe due to her breed misconceptions and the fact that so many like her are already in need. 😔

Remi is now in boarding and confused why she keeps moving around. She doesn’t understand why she doesn’t have a family anymore, which is something she’s gone through now more times than any dog ever should. 💔
