Surprise! Our rescue Mustang delivered a beautiful, healthy baby early this morning. Everyone is doing great!

Haven’t posted in awhile (been incredibly busy on the farm), but we hope to share more frequent updates of all of our rescues! Thank you all for your support 🥰

We love our volunteers! We couldn’t run the rescue without them! Whether it’s pouring down rain and they’re standing knee deep in mud, or the sun is shining, our volunteers care for the horses with a big smile on their faces.

It is a privilege and joy to be loved by May! When she came to us 6 months ago, she was very timid and anxious around people. Now, she is the first to greet you and loves a good snuggle session.

Toni, easily one of the greatest horses out there! This dude is a total gentleman and all around awesome horse. In his eventing years, he even competed in the Olympics. 🏅

His previous owners got rid of him because he wasn’t in his athletic prime anymore 😔 At only 13, Toni has a lot to offer still and he has an amazing personality. We are very lucky to have him and he’s the perfect addition to our herd.

Sweet May! May was brought to us about 6 months ago from being on her way to a kill pen. She was primarily a brood mare, having babies each year until she was no longer “useful”. Sadly, all of her babies were taken from her shortly after birth.

In her new life, May is helping to raise a new foal and gets to be an active part in the baby’s upbringing. May was very shy at first, but now she loves a good scratch and hugs 💕

We’ve been following the method and showing her that we respect her boundaries and acknowledge any signs of stress.
