This group is for people who would like to see a dog park built in our town of Fair Haven, VT.
We'll be brain-storming ideas for fundraisers and looking for ideas and your thoughts.

Dick Cillo will be starting beginner rally training classes at
Kristie Adams' place in Pittsford. The classes will begin on this Friday February 23rd at 6:00 and run for 6 weeks. He still needs 1 more to hold this class. Message me if you want more info Augi wants to do it

We're on our way!...made our first deposit of $943 into the dog park fund today. Our goal is a minimum of $15,000...please support our efforts by buying masks, memorial bricks or making a donation!
We now have order forms for our "Bricks for Barks" fundraiser. I've left some at the town office and some at Finders Keepers. Tomorrow they'll be at Castleton Pet Supply as well...Message us with any questions

FAIR HAVEN — Having helped raise almost a quarter of the $100,000 needed for a new school playground, the pets of Fair Haven — and their owners — have set
Just a reminder...we still have long sleeve adult Mayor Murfee shirts and short sleeve youth size shirts, also Mayor Murfee tote bags and Mayor Murfee face masks...all proceeds will go to the dog park fund!
Announcing our "Bricks for Barks" Campaign
Plans for a dog park in Fair Haven are underway on the
Fair Haven airport property. It will feature large and
small dog areas with a bag station and bench(s) in
each. We’ve got big plans to make it the most fun dog
park we can... including a tunnel, play structures and
other fun surprises to keep your pup entertained and
engaged. Water and bathrooms as well as a picnic area
will be located right outside the dog park.
This dog park will be made possible by fundraisers such
as “Bricks for Barks”. The park will be volunteer funded
and maintained.
We’re also planning to have a “Memorial” garden by the dog park... you can purchase an engraved brick for an animal, pet or whatever to be placed in the Memorial garden by the dog park.
Prices as follows:
4" X 8" engraved brick $50
8" X 8" engraved brick $75
If you want clip art...pawprints, dog, heart etc it will be an extra $10

Put on your thinking caps and help us come up with a name for the new Fair Haven dog park. We'll submit a list of 5 possible names to the town manager and when people vote for the next animal mayor they can also vote for their choice of name. Update: We've got 5 names to submit to the town manager for voting on town meeting day (along with the vote for pet mayor)

Great news!...we got the ok from the select board for the dog park in Fair Haven. Now we have the fun part of planning and raising funds to make this a reality. Mayor Murfee sat in on the town meeting but fell asleep and started snoring and didn't wake up until the dog park discussion took place LOL
Official Mayor Murfee masks are in and 100% of sales will go to the Fair Haven Dog Park fund (the masks were funded by a donation by Debra Griffin). $10 each and the purchase will help us get closer to having a brand new dog park in town!
It looks like the Fair Haven airport is the likely location of a dog park. It's great because there's a pavilion with picnic tables and also bathrooms there. We'll know for sure after the select board gives the final ok for a dog park.
We had our first committee meeting tonight for the proposed dog park and as soon as we've nailed down the exact location of where we want it built we'll let everyone know. I'm hoping this will be approved by the select board so we can begin fundraising!
