Sparky is a 1-2 year old female from our recent group of intakes. She groomed today by Happy Hound Salon and looks wonderful! Sparky has had little human contact in her life so she’s still shy but is definitely interested in attention and affection. She’d do best in a quiet home with older children and calmer dogs. Sparky has a great disposition and we feel confident she will make a great companion and be eager to learn. She still needs to be spayed prior to adoption but we are accepting applications (a the pinned post at the top of the page.

Close your eyes if you don’t want to get your heart stolen!! This loverboy is Doc and he was the last of the 43 dogs to be loaded into the van and come home with us on Monday! He is approximately 4 years old and the father of many of our intakes. Doc is very sweet and loves people!! He’s playful and great with other dogs. Thanks to Happy Hound Salon he now looks as lovely on the outside as he is on the inside! Doc still needs to be neutered but we are accepting applications (in the pinned post at the top of the page).

I had the honor of helping this senior boy feel refreshed and get all that dead, matted hair off of him so he can get ready for the next chapter of his life. He's easily one of the most gentle, sweet souls I've met, and he's so lucky he is in the good hands of Knox Vintage Pet Project now 🥰 go check him out with as well as all the other pups they have!

Look at Samson's AMAZING groom by Happy Hound Salon! This poor boy was so matted and even had burrs stuck in his fur. We didn't want to shave him based on the breed so it took hours to get him washed and brushed out. He is feeling much better! See comments for the pile of fur she took off!

Routine grooming isn't just about keeping a dog's hair maintained, nail care is equally important!! Even if you have a shorthaired dog make sure you're booking appointments to get their nails trimmed regularly!
