Muzzles keep dogs SAFE!! Muzzles can keep US safe! 🐾
Every dog can benefit from being trained! Don't wait until your pup is already in a stressful situation to suddenly throw one on their face.
Keep it fun, keep it light and keep it consistent!
And remember - a properly fitted muzzle that DOESN'T restrict them from opening their mouths to pant is paramount in keeping them comfortable and accepting of it.
Even if just used for a short time such as vet visits or grooming, dogs regulate their body temperature and also release stress through panting. Having the ability to do that, especially in difficult situations, is extremely important!

Copper and Sage has to be one of my favourite combos! 🥰
This bully breed-specific muzzle has been tailored to accommodate the wide noggin that these guys have, while still remaining lightweight and comfortable!

How to Adjust your Muzzle 101 😁 featuring - the quick release buckle!
Please note I misspoke around the 4 minute mark- tightening under the neck will lengthen the top, not shorten, and vice versa.
I WOULD also recommend when you have the quick release style to start first by adjusting the neck (if it needs it), THEN moving on to adjust the back. Reason is that adjusting the neck portion will impact the length of the side straps, but the length of the side straps will not affect the neck, so it's better to start at the neck.
I hope this helps!
Last night was a very valuable reminder of why I'm thankful both my dogs are muzzle trained, and although unfortunately it wasn't taken advantage of in the moment, it will be now!
For the second time in a couple weeks, a rabbit has somehow gotten into our fenced area at night (it's secured from the inside with chicken wire, so very odd it found it's way in). When hubby took the pups out for their last pee break, both dogs immediately set upon this poor creature. We back onto woods and it is VERY dark at night. Luckily, the rabbit managed to squeeze himself back out underneath the gate and get away, but from now on, night time pees are going to be taken muzzles on. It pays to have even the friendliest of dogs trained as you just never know when you'll need to pull it out and potentially avoid a situation like we had last night.
Although rabbits are one of Armin's only animals that get his prey drive fired up, he is perfectly good with our kitties. Nala on the other hand, who is the friendliest dog you'll meet to everyone and everything, takes a little too much liking to the cats. We've been working on her interactions with the kitties and it's slow going, as her interests peaks majorly every time they actually move, but we're making progress. (Please ignore my awkward treating 🤣 they were very small and I'm not left handed)
Just like it pays to have an extra leash handy when you're out and about, having your dog already trained to wear a muzzle is super helpful! Don't wait until you need it as the process can be slow and take some time!
"I just wanted to send you this video of my girl Cadi playing in her muzzle. It's her first walk wearing it as I've been conditioning her to it, and I can't believe how uninhibited she was - playing without any worries 🧡.
She's had two resource-guarding bite incidents under her belt. I'm a dog trainer and before those she came everywhere with me and helped me with lots and lots of dogs who struggled with others.
Unfortunately, after the second bite (I thought the first was an anomaly) I then had to bench her because I couldn't take the very small risk (she has hundreds of great dog-dog hours in her repertoire so it was a real shame), and I couldn't find a decent muzzle.
And then I found you!"
😭🥰 Nothing makes me happier in this job than seeing a dog enjoying themselves while still being safe- a true testament that for many dogs, muzzles = freedom ❤️
Thank you Anna for this beautiful update!!
Solid Front vs. Scavenger Guard! To put it simply - if you want a treat hole, choose the Scavenger Guard with the treat hole option. If you don't need a treat hole- choose the Solid Front option. Still got questions? Let me know!
Muzzled dogs are happy dogs 🥰
I don't know about wherever you guys are, but where's all our snow this winter?! This is all we've gotten and it's already melted! 😭

We love taking our two down to the water but there's always so many nasty things to scavenge there, such as the remains of a bird they found today. Better to be safe than sorry!
