I will be closed Monday!!!!!!

I haven't posted much about these little guys but not only do I keep bugs I foster little kitties too! Memorial Day weekend I took in 6 very sick little kittens. One in particular struggled. Little Cheese nearly died 4 times. We kept trying and pushing and after about a week of no sleep doing force feedings and subq injected fluids the littlest one pulled through. I'm incredibly grateful to those who put up with my sleep deprived brain and mistakes made then! There was so much sweat and tears but these littles made it.

They overcame ringworm, intestinal parasites and upper respiratory infections. They kept me incredibly busy and I'm so very sorry I wasn't active on the page as a result. I didn't want to post about them because they're not reptile related but here we are 😅

These little ones are getting the last of the vet care they need Monday and I still have two beautiful gray babies looking for homes.

Off to Raptor Education Group, Inc! Bringing 500 live mealworms for donation to help feed all those extra mouths they're caring for! REGI is an amazing team thay care for and rehabilitate native birds! It's nice to be able to give back and help save our Wisconsin wildlife!

Well here's the finished product. Just a simple screened top. The first two photos the handles were removed when the top. The final photo is placed on my 75 gallon aquarium full of fake plants! 😆

So I've been toying around with a new idea lately. I've modified and built small pieces for my animals. I refinished Rowenas enclosure and we built a water proof box to hold all her soil to keep it level with her guppy aquarium. Yes my dragon has pets she swims with! 😆

So onto my plans. I am going to be building enclosures. I'm thinking 4x2x2 and bigger. I obviously have some big lizards I will be getting. My bucket list includes a black and white Tegu and (here's hoping!!) an Asian Water Monitor. These are not tiny reptiles and will need huge amounts of space, large hides, and enrichment opportunities.

It's something I'm passionate about and I already have two buyers lined up upon completion. Thank you guys for your absolute trust in my abilities!

But for right now I am in the middle of building a screened lid for a 75 gallon. The buyer wanted it almost entirely open and just one solid piece without hinges or different openings. I'm still adding more pieces to frame and protect the hardware mesh from snagging or damage. Then adding additional pieces that will hold the lid snug onto the enclosure. It will lift off very easily but it won't wiggle and shift on top of the tank.

I will continue posting updates on this page on these projects and if anyone is interested in purchasing a simple one or wants to commission a custom build hit me up and we can chat.

I intend to start building hides and 3D backgrounds as well. I'll share my projects here if anyone is interested in seeing these.

What a busy night guys! I make a post finally offering deliveries and I get four orders right out the gate! Atleast you all know how to make a gal feel wanted! 😂

Things have been pretty slow. I haven't been updating much. There's been a lot of changes going and new things in the works. Still watching for a good rental space. If not, next year I'm buying my own building. I'll get s**t done. 😊

I've been asked time and time again when I'll be doing hornworms. So you know what, you got it guys. I'm setting up enclosures to breed and sustain hornworms in the next week. I will order hornworms in. Lots and lots. I will divvy them up into future breeding colonies and have some immediately available for sale then as well. It'll take some time to get a few stable breeding groups and routines in place but you guys are demanding it! 🤣

So keep an eye out I will post when I have some available for sale. Thank you for all the love and support! 😊

This right here is why I do everything I do. Rowena loves having fresh bugs and a variety to choose from!

This all started because I wanted to do right by Rowena. She didn't deserve half dead crickets from Petsmart. She didn't deserve a container of only some living mealworms.

Rowena deserves a full and varied diet. Stimulation to hunt and be aware of her surroundings. She deserved good, quality food.

How could I say I loved her and provided nothing but subpar food?? I couldn't!!! So for her sake I started breeding bugs. To make sure she always had a stable and healthy food source ready to go for her! For Rowena my scaly pride and joy!

It's become something so much bigger than I envisioned! Now I produce bugs for people I would have never met otherwise!

Rowena is full and happy! And me? I'm pursuing opportunities I never knew I had available to me!

So the Party on the Ave was a great experience. I've never taken Rowena outside of our yard. It was absolutely magical. There were so many more adults excited and intrigued by Rowena than I expected! 🤣

I got to chat with so many people and answer so many random questions. Rowena was amazing!!! She was so willing to be handled by kids she's never met and be pet. It was amazing seeing kids and adults light up and fall in love with her.

That's what I wish more than anything to be able to do. To share these amazing animals and educate anyone interested. I still haven't found a shop yet. Seems like I'm always a bit too slow or not a good fit for rentals available. But we're not giving up and we're pursing new ventures as well.

I'm not making any promises but soon I'm going to start building enclosures and hides and decor. I'm not always thrilled with what I can find in pet stores. I've got two customers lined up to buy 4x2x2 enclosures and I can't wait to get those started. 😊

Some of my baby crickets aka pinheads!

What makes my bugs different than pet stores?

I sell crickets, dubia roaches, superworms and mealworms. Pretty standard for any petstore. But I breed and raise mine at home. The big chain stores order theirs online, they're packed up, and shipped. Some move quickly through transit, some get stuck and dawdle to arrival.

Why does this matter? Stress. Can you imagine being boxed up for days subject to varying temperatures and conditions? Overcrowded in a box and then haphazardly shoved in a bin. They just don't do well! How could they! This makes them more susceptible to illness and injury. When under stress crickets will even turn on each other to eliminate competition for resources.

My bugs live comfortably. Tended to daily and enclosures deep cleaned weekly. They've got space, controlled temps and humidity, fresh food and water gel, and egg crate to hide in and explore in their space. They're happier and healthier as a result!

You ever buy bugs only for them to die in a matter of days? Ever pick up a tub of mealworms only to get home and find 50% dead? It's beyond aggravating and what a waste of money!!

You won't see that with my bugs! They're healthy, happy, and tasty (so I'm told 😝)! I pack each order before pick up. I hand count your bugs and get them all set up for you! So every order is as fresh as it gets! I typically pack 10% extra just in case too. You deserve to get your money's worth.

Most importantly, I stand behind my bugs. If you ever have any issues I am right here!! I will talk you through any problems and set up improvements. If for any reason my bugs fail to meet your expectations through no fault of your own keeping I will replace them.

I will always provide the best quality bugs because I wouldn't feed anything less to my pets and I guarantee your pets will love my feeders! 😊

I am committed to selling high quality feeders for your pets! All my feeders are raised with careful consideration to their own needs. They may just be bugs to some but not to me!

My crickets and roaches are housed in customized totes designed for proper ventilation and lots of space! My superworms and mealworms thrive in their own totes or drawers that allow them to feel safe and sheltered.

Everyone gets fresh food and water gel daily and fresh fruits and veggies! This is one day of treats for everyone! I believe variety is the best for every animals wellbeing. Nobody likes to eat the same thing everyday and that's not nutritionally complete either! Providing a constantly changing variety of food means more nutrients and healthier bugs.

Ok here it is! The official price list for feeder rats now that I am including live rats. Do keep in mind I can keep frozen well stocked but live feeders are strictly subject to availability. I can not guarantee any sizes but I have increased the size of my breeding colony to better accommodate live availability.

Well the Supers seem to be enjoying the changes! They're getting water gel in a dish along with their usual fruits and veggies. They seem to really enjoy the egg crates in there. Gives them a little more space to explore and feel secure I suppose. But I'm already seeing better numbers and less die offs!

I love seeing all these fat, healthy supers thriving! 😊

Yesterday we had a total of 20 baby beans born! One mum was a complete surprise as she was literally living in the retirement cage with who I thought was an infertile male. With a few more gals due to pop the pinky shortage should be over.

I get asked alot by new owners how much, how often, and how big their ball pythons food should be given. These are some wonderful guides that can help you figure this out!

Always keep in mind, every snake is different and these should be used as a reference not an exact guide.

Young ball pythons eat more frequently than adults. Adults tend to eat every 1-2 weeks. Their prey item should about as wide as the widest part of the snakes body. Their best routine should be decided on what keeps them at a good body condition. If you can weigh your snake keep tabs on their weight. Excessive weight loss or gain is undesirable and it's often easy to keep an eye on this by regularly weighing your snake.

These supers. They are just little problems! I've been having the worst time sustaining a breeding colony and each batch seems to get smaller and smaller in numbers. I gave in and I've ordered a commercial prepared bran mix specifically for supers and mealworms. Trying some new veggies, going to focus on a variety of leafy greens every other day. A little sweet potato in there today as well. Not pictured but I've also given them a little dish of water gel as well.

Maybe oatmeal is a poor choice for substrate/food? Maybe the veggies haven't I've previously provided enough moisture? Maybe Supers and I will never work together well! 😂

But I'm trying dang it!!!

Thank you everyone who has been with me since the start and hello to anyone new! It's been a rough time these last couple months but things are getting better all the time. 😊

Thank you everyone for your patience while I've adjusted to a newborn and all the chaos a full house entails. It's a wild ride. But it's just as wonderful as it is crazy.

Good news I will be opening up my hours again. I work full time and have Littles so my availability is always going to revolve around that.

Starting Monday April 10th I will be open again Monday through Friday 430-8pm and Saturdays and Sunday 12-7. 😁 Let's get right back into it!!!

For all my hungry snakes,

I'm optimistic we're getting back on the right track with rats! I cut back on my rats a bit too slow down temporarily. Unfortunately this ended in poorly and rats have dwindled. I've got some young bucks and some beautifully colored new gals and things seem to be going well. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll start finding the results of everyone getting acquainted!

It's going to be a busy day today! Already packing up some orders to start. I'm available today 11 to 7pm. I'm hoping condensing my appointments to one day is a better fit for their current state of things.

I'm absolutely open to feed back, perhaps there's a better day to pick. Maybe I'll go with one week day 4-7pm shift as well as Sundays 11-7.

Another big change!

No more wax worms!

I'm sorry to say that these little guys are too problematic for me. The freshly hatched baby worms are almost microscopic and escape artists. The tiny baby worms can climb glass and plastic. I've dealt with many batches of moths flooding my house as a result of escapees.

I can not sell wax worms cheaper than the in town options either. Fleet Farms gas station as well as BP regularly stock wax worms at great prices. I can't do better then they can. The little buggers hate me too! 🤣

I will continue breeding and selling crickets, mealworms, superworms, dubia roaches, and frozen rats.

So big changes again.

I will be changing my availability to Sundays only 12-6pm. If absolutely needs be some exceptions may be made. But I work full time and I have 3 young children. I am very busy maintaining everything and keeping everyone happy.

This is what feels like the best solution now is to take Sundays and dedicate to Feeder Frenzy. My weekdays are dedicated to work and Saturdays tend to be our family day.

I know this may not be convenient for everyone and again if it's absolutely not workable for anyone we may still work out a better time.
