We call these 3 the Mean Girls: Gretchen, Regina, and Karen. Because they push the other mice from the roof at feeding time and won't let them back on! 💁🏼‍♀️💅

Hey, trendsetters!

Today we are feeding the ratties a pasta snacky!

Pasta is a great snack and contains a ton of nutrients that will benefit your rat! As a source of carbohydrates, it fills up your rats' energy reserves and keeps them going throughout the day!

It's also a great source of protein! Protein is important for promoting muscle growth, and even antibodies which defend your ratty against sickness and disease!

Pasta is even good for its fiber contents! Fiber is what helps food be digested and "pass" properly and also improves colon health. A study in 2015 proved that rats that had been given fiber supplements even had better weight control! 😮 Obesity is actually quite an issue among pet rats, so this is an amazing way to combat it!

However, you can always have too much of a good thing! Too much pasta can be fattening, so just make sure to feed it in moderation. 😋 We recommended using it as an occasional treat, or as a small part of your rat's diet - remember; a small bite for us is a lot for their tiny mouths!

These Barilla Ready Pastas are amazing because they are already cooked and ready to go and can be stored for a long time! They can be found at Walmart for $1 and the ratties LOVE it!
