Hi everyone
Sorry for the radio silence but ive had a very busy couple of months moving home from Peacehaven to Liverpool!! and finding a new job and settling into the house etc etc.

the first thing i want to do is say a huge thank you for all yopur support so far.

Im not going to be able to do another aid run sadly but we still need to raise funds to help the animals that have either gone from Ukraine to Romania or are still in Ukraine.

To start this i need to finish of the draw that i started before i moved. There are some amazing prizes so if you havent already looked at it then please read the next post.

So last trip completed.
3rd trip in planning progress.

The next trip will be very different.

We won't be taking donations with us. We will be raising funds to buy animal feed and medicine that the shelters in the Ukraine are desperately in need of. We will then use two vans and take it to the shelters in Odesa and izmail.

This way we can ensure that it gets to them as there have been lots of people saying they will take it then trying to charge the shelter for the food.

We have everything roughly in place and I will be finalising the details over the next few days.

I have just returned from the Ukraine/Romanian border with the last of the donations we received.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for their donations and the shelters and the people handing it out at the border would also like to pass on their thanks for the help.

We managed to pass a lot of donations on to Sava's Safe Haven who will be at the border helping people as they arrive with both human and animal aid.

There was also a lot of cat food that went to mirela who has taken on around 60 cats from the Ukraine and another dog shelter that took on 20 Ukraine dogs.

I have attached pics of us meeting the animals etc.

We didn't get pics with Sava as unfortunately we ended up meeting at a vets as we found a poorly little black dog on the side of the road that was hit by a car. We took her to the vets and they are doing all they can for her. The x-ray showed no damage to the spine but there was to her pelvis/hips so she will need some work but they think she will be ok. Hopefully she(now named Sally) will be able to come to the UK as soon as she is ready to travel to be rehomed.

And finally a huge thank you to Shelle Murray Bijou Dog Grooming and Alec Taylor for helping drive on this trip. It's exhausting both mentally and physically but they both made it a lot easier.

It's been a long drive but a worth while one.

We dropped of a load of aid to Asociația Sava's Safe Haven to be handed out at the border and used in her shelter to help with the Ukrainian animals (pics to follow)

On the way there we found a small black dog that had been hit by a car. Sava gave us the address of a vet and met us there.

We have been advised that if she gets through the shock then she should be ok as the x-rays showed no damage to her spine.

Then we headed to mirela who has helped around 60 cats from the Ukraine and dropped some food and cat bits to her. She wishes to thank all who donated💞

I can't express how thankful I am for this help.

Hi everyone,
I wopuld like to say a huge thankyou to everyone who has helped donate both items ad funds.

I tried to post updates as much as i could for you to follow but it was a very tiring trip with very little sleep.

It was successful because of all the help i recieved from all of you and the work of the girls from Paws and Whiskers Sussex UK - Dog and Cat Rescueback home especially my amazing wife whom I called constantly due to feeling quite down on more tahn one day and I missed her like crazy(sorry soppy bit done now)

I still have so many donations left to get over there and with this i am planning a second trip over but I would like to hire a van this time and have a second driver with me so i can get there and back non stop in 4 days.

To do this I am yet again appealing for some help in funding the van hire and fuel costs etc.

he van hire will be about £500 and the fuel costs me around £750 on the last trip plus the Eurotunnel costs on top.

I have added a picture of the amazing moment that a lady that escaped from Kyiv with her much loved 12 year doggy with a heart problem was reunited. I was very honoured to be trusted to bring Lyoka back with me and there were tears when they met up again.

Finally home
Shattered but I've had a shower and feeling better.

Next job is to de-shed moni the GSD and pick up lyoka from Shelle Murray Bijou Dog Grooming

Shelle has kindly given lyoka a groom to make sure he is looking handsome ready for his reunion with his owners from Ukraine this afternoon. Thank you so much for doing that so early today.
