The pups met food for the first time today at lunch and acted like they had been eating it all their little lives. Now comes the real work for me because Delaney will stop cleaning up after them now that other food is being digested. Next 4 weeks will be brutal!

The pile is getting big! 11 days old and most have almost tripled their birth weights. Good girl, Delaney! She’s keeping them very clean, too which is a huge help to me.

The pups are growing like crazy. Tails and dewclaws were taken care of on Tuesday and today they started ENS (early neurological stimulation) which will go on for approximately two more weeks.

Part of their daily routine includes being weighed and getting a change of collars. Thought you would enjoy seeing the contrast of sizes between the biggest pup (blue boy) and the smallest, Miss Lime.

Lime weighed just 6.7 oz at birth but today tops the scales at 11.1 oz! Mr Blue weighed in at 10.3 oz at birth but today weighs 20.0 oz! Both had done extraordinarily well eating and gaining weight. Good girl, Delaney!

Going on day 3. All pups have gained weight each day which is a positive sign! Mom taking good care of them.

What happens when you passout on the couch for a nap…two more appear!! A boy and a girl. So 13! 8 boys and 5 girls. ie yi yi!!!

Whose a good girl?! Delaney has delivered 7 boys and 4 girls! Except for the 1:30 am start of the process—all went fine and relatively quickly, finishing up at 9:15.

We are excited to announce that we have bred GChS. Spindletop's Miles And Miles Of Texas (Austin) to Ch. Spindletop's The Night I Painted The Sky (Delaney). If all goes well, pups will be due August 18.

Sire and dam both have their OFA CHIC (both OFA good hips, cardio & elbows normal). They have also been tested for the PLN genes, Austin is a 1/2 and Delaney a 1/1.

Interested parties can private message me with the following info: Experience with the breed (own one now, have owned in the past or have never owned one), the number and ages of kids in the household and email address so I can send my questionnaire. A detailed puppy questionnaire must be filled out and returned to me before a call is scheduled. We carefully screen puppy buyers, this is NOT a first come, first served process and filling out a questionnaire does not guarantee that a pup will be sold to you. The pups go on a contract, will be AKC registered with limited registration (no breeding), will be microchipped, fully wormed and have had their first shot. My contract includes an agreement on when to spay/neuter and a shot schedule (for life) you must follow (which may be in conflict with what your vet normally does).
