Hi!

We’re so relieved to be able to post and update you all, albeit with limited news and availability. Unfortunately, since our last post, we’ve made little headway with our housing situation. What we have done, however, is inform ourselves of our rights as tenants and seek legal advice, which has given us the confidence to reopen our diary in the short term.

We’re currently comfortable taking bookings from now until the end of October, and we have availability during the day as well as our usual morning and evening visit times. We are hoping for more information regarding our rental by mid-October, and we look forward to updating you all again then.

On a positive note, having to “close shop” for a while allowed us to do some travelling together in July and August. Pictured is us getting some European sun at Piazza del Duomo in Milan, Italy and at the Australian National Memorial near Villers-Bretonneux in France.

If you’ve sent through October dates and haven’t yet received confirmation from us, please expect to hear from us shortly. We’re so looking forward to getting things started up again!

*IMPORTANT UPDATE- JUNE-JULY-AUGUST*

Hello everyone,

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mildred, admin assistant and camping cat extraordinaire.

Grief-stricken at the loss of her best friend, Jaz experienced a very difficult period of maladjustment at home. Consequently, we decided as a couple that it would be best for her to take some time (very far) away for herself. This means that over the next couple of months, it will only be Amelia available for jobs and most of the client communication, alongside her full-time job.

We are still accepting bookings (albeit a little more selectively than usual), so please don’t hesitate to contact us. We ask for your patience and ask that you begin any important message with URGENT if you need our attention sooner rather than later.

Thankyou for bearing with us during this difficult time for our little family.

🐣 EASTER BOOKINGS 🐥

Having taken 7 bookings in 2 days, we’re feeling the love!
We still have plenty of availability from April 6th onwards, however, and we’re currently taking bookings up until the end of October.

We’d like to thank our wonderful clients for their ongoing support of us. Nothing makes us happier than reconnecting with our furry friends from past jobs.

For anyone who has come to our home to collect orders drop off or pick up their keys, they will have met our cat pictured, Tosca. He is our resident greeter, snuggler and treat aficionado, which makes Easter his favourite holiday because he knows he has a basket of treats to look forward to! 🐰

Wishing our goofy, fun and photogenic friend Lulu a very happy 1st birthday! We feel so privileged to have watched her grow into the big girl that she is over the last 9 months.

We love you, Lulu! Thanks for always making us smile. And thankyou to her parents for blessing us with her company twice weekly.

Hello there!

We’d like to thank you all for your recent patience and understanding with us. Between the both of us being ill for 3 weeks, studies returning for the year, having a sick cat, our car dying on us, and then going away for 5 days, it has been an intense and overwhelming 6 weeks that we’re only just beginning to catch up on.

In good news, we have been given the opportunity to renew our lease again, (with another rent increase, albeit), and we are opening up our bookings until the end of October(!!!) as a result. We have updated our pinned availability post to reflect this. 😊

We have some announcements!

- We’ve updated our availability post.
- We’re now taking bookings up until the end of June.
- We’re working on compiling a small list of pet sitters and registered veterinary nurses that we know and trust to refer our clients to during our periods of unavailability. We hope this will allow us to help you all even if we’re unavailable ourselves. Any referrals will be handled privately, so please message us if you’d like us to pair you with somebody else.

Are you planning a summer clear-out whilst stuck indoors during this heatwave? Sorting through your pantry, your dogs’ belongings, or your linen cupboard?

In the past week, Dogs' Refuge Home WA INC has posted asking for dog treats and canned tuna and sardines in spring water. They also need and accept donations of:
- clean/new dog bowls
- clean/new dog beds
- clean flat sheets
- clean, unstuffed blankets
- dog food
- new dog toys
- clean large towels

If you have donations you’d like us to collect or that you’d like to drop off to us, please comment below. We will be setting up our carport as a donation drop-off point until the end of January.

Having taken in 1584 dogs and puppies during the 23/24 financial year and working in animal rescue ourselves, we know how far donations like these go. We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas!

During the month of December we did 14 enrichment sessions, welcomed 3 dog boarders and 5 cat boarders, made 60 drop in visits, conducted 6 meet and greets and cared for a total of 7 dogs, 29 cats, 2 snakes and some fish.

Thankyou for supporting us this holiday period. After all of the Christmas craziness, we’re looking forward to finally having an afternoon off with our cats tomorrow.
