Quitman Animal Clinic is taking good care of Izzy and sent us photos of her. Labs looked good and they feel it is gastroenteritis which they said is better than other things it could have been. She is dehydrated and getting fluids over night and tomorrow. We miss her, but we are glad she will be home soon.

Pray for Izzy. She isn't in grave danger, but she is really sick and went to the vet. She might be there over night to get rehydrated.

Dan took a pic of Izzy hiding in the pantry during a storm today. He took her out and she went back in and stayed for at least a half hour.

8 weeks since Izzy got a broken leg. She is doing great. Next week she gets groomed.

Izzy had her 1 month check and is where the vet thought she'd be at this time for her age. She got a laser treatment at the vet today.

Happy Easter from Izzy. She thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers. She is making improvements. She has decided she will only drink water through a syringe even though she can drink from a bowl and she will only eat her boiled chicken with maybe a few pieces of regular dog food. :) She is eating and drinking and learning to walk on 3 legs. We want her to start using her bad leg soon per the surgeon, but we get why she is hesitant. These are old photos of her.

Izzy had surgery on her femur. We drove to a town an hour and 45 mins away to let a vet who is skilled at bone repair fix her femur. She has 8 to maybe 12 weeks to heal since she is 10 yrs old. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers.

Say a prayer for Izzy. She was in an accident today and is at the vet. We do know she is stable and her femur is broken in 4 places. We will find out where she will have surgery tomorrow after another vet examines her and views her x-rays. She is 10 years old and she is more than a dog to us, she is our family. Dan is beside himself and doesn't want to talk to anyone right now by text or phone.
