I am seeing so many corgis in rescue it's starting to bother me..read below..
So you want to get a Corgi, do you? I can't blame you. I've owned corgis for over 15 years. I had corgis when some didnt know what they were. They are the most charming, amazing dogs ever but they are not for everyone. I'm getting so tired of seeing posts on Corgi sites saying my Corgi sheds too much. I don't know if I can keep him. My Corgi bites all the time. I don't know if I can keep her. My Corgi barks too much. My Corgi has too much energy. I don't know if I can handle this.
Sometimes I think social media was the worst thing to happen to this breed. If you want to get a Corgi, please remember following things:
1.) We are not kidding or exaggerating in the slightest when we say these dogs shed more than any other five dogs you will ever own. It is outrageous how much hair these dogs shed! If you or someone else in your family can't deal with that, then do not get a Corgi. If you're willing to constantly have Corgi hair stuck to your socks, on your clothes, in your mouth, and on your furniture, and yes, sometimes in your food, then by all means, get a Corgi!
2.) They bite when they are puppies and if you don't know how to train them out of it they will bite when they are adults. These are herding dogs. They move animals around by nipping at their heels. It's what they were bred to do for generation upon generation. These dogs are very smart and very stubborn and challenging to train. If you are a novice dog owner, this is not the first dog for you to get. If you are not experienced with gently but firmly teaching a dog what not to do then they are not for you.
3.) They are very energetic and as I said before stubborn, smart as hell, challenging to train and they BARK! And bark and bark and bark and bark and bark - at everything! Because they are herding dogs they were bred to be energetic and independent and vocal. Some of us find that charming. Some of us will find it exasperating. Some will even surrender the dogs to a shelter.
Please, please do your research before you get a Corgi. It's easy to love a breed from afar, but not every dog is for every person. Please go to Corgi meetups and meet Corgis and people with Corgis and ask them what life a Corgi is like before you make the commitment. If a Corgi is right for you, there is no greater joy than the mischievous antics and charming smile of a Corgi. if not, then we will be happy to keep posting videos and pictures so that you can love them from afar.

I do NOT price my pups all the same . IMO you cannot price any breeding prospect that early on PERIOD! We can agree to disagree but it is MY program. Most importantly my name is tied to each and every single baby/adult that I produce . "Fee" will not be answered in a open forum. I will not release ANY dog until paid in full ( I am NOT a collection agency). I do not allow my dogs to be bred to any kind of "oodle" or ANY other breed besides the same Exact breed they are . No exceptions
