Here is Nugget’s video from the Hunt Club Farms event for the cure. This was such a fun day. I had only ridden Nugget a few times to prepare for this event. He was Practically Perfect in every way. I was honored to snag the ride after him mom had an unfortunate injury. Nuggets was a perfect gentleman and was eager to get at it.

I few weeks ago I participated in Hunt Club Farms event for the cure. It had been over a decade since I had ridden in an event. I had so much fun!!! I was lucky enough to ride two wonderful horses. Here is a video of my round with Jax. He was such a star! I am so proud of him. We are a pretty new partnership and we had a blast together. Thank you Dianne Snow Hirsch for loaning me your very special boy!

Bit late but had a wonderful time at the Oak Spring Equestrian schooling show last Saturday. I had so much fun playing with Jax and trying Level 2 out. Jax was a superstar and tried really hard. Super pleased with a 2nd in dressage and 3rd in EOH and speed. Amy and Nugget had some fun their first time out. Very proud of them! Looking forward to working with them next year.

Last year I took Amistad (Ami) to the Fresh Start 1 clinic held by Riding Far, LLC. It was a tough weekend. Ami was a relatively new horse to me and his anxiety fed mine and visa versa. I learnt a lot about the psychology behind my fear and anxiety. A few months later Ami got an injury and It has been a very slow recovery. Last weekend Ami and I returned to Sycamore Seed Farm for this year’s Fresh Start 1. To say I am proud is an understatement! Ami was a star! He was calm and thoughtful and I felt like we were had some major breakthroughs. Our rides this week have been more relaxed and we are communicating more clearly. I am so excited to be working with Ami and can’t wait for more breakthroughs as we continue to build out relationship. He is such a good boy!

Imagine you are balancing on an exercise ball. If you lean your torso into a turn, your seat bones will push the ball (your horse) in the opposite direction. To help the horse balance, keep your spine straight and use your shoulders to turn. Your seat bones will follow. Try it on a ball, it works!
