As much as she fits the aesthetic of our house, we really don’t need another one! That being said, Ollie is still looking for her forever home!🏡

The most ideal home for Ollie may be a bit tough to find, but we figured we need to try! She is looking for a nice quiet home to call her own! She typically does very well with male dogs, and needs slower introductions to female dogs, although I wouldn’t place her in a home with another bossy, self-confident female dog. That said, she would also be completely happy as a single dog household!🐶

Ollie currently lives with a seven-year-old child who is very dog savvy, but due to the hustle and bustle that is involved with kids in the home, it is not likely to be a good fit for her. She has never been aggressive or standoffish with children, however, she does like her space, and sometimes that can be difficult to manage with kids in the home (or kids visiting the home)!👶🏻

Ollie has lived with cats in the past, and despite some mild stalking behavior, she had been completely fine with them in the home. More recently, though, it has been found that she prefers to chase the cats, and so without complete management of this, we fear a home with cats will not be a good fit for her either.🐱

Ollie is not your typical cattle dog, and so although she does have some energy to burn, she has a very nice off switch, which allows her to rest comfortably in the home when nothing is going on! She absolutely loves the safety her crate provides, and crate use should be continued with her in her next home - and ideally lifelong as she does feel very lost without it. Being a more under confident dog, she relies heavily on the safety measures she creates in her home with her crate, and with her people. She needs a family who will advocate for her need for space when out and about, and give her the time she needs to warm up to new environments! Ollie is weary of strangers, especially men, and will need time adjusting to new guests when they come into the home, or if she sees new people when out and about, although she is getting better with this every day! She is definitely the type of dog who loves to go places with you, but she will need some time to adjust once she arrives.😊

We have had many questions about it, so I thought I’d address it here as well, but we do NOT believe that Ollie is a candidate for a sport home. She enjoys playing ball with her people, and running around off leash or at the trails, but does not have the temperament or drive needed to thrive as a sport dog. That being said, someone who wants to pursue classes of any kind (obedience, rally, agility, ratting, etc) to help build confidence in her is always welcomed!🤗
