“Our Little Missy is a fuzzy furry bundle of love. She loves people, and when someone comes over she is right there wanting attention and belly rubs. And she gets plenty of those. She likes to supervise our household. Napping on the highest shelf of the tree she is always on the job! She loves her big fluffy tail. One time the groomer shaved half of her tail. I was livid. Dalli was not happy either. She loves to eat and always knows when the time comes to eat. At ten minutes to nine every evening she sits in front of my chair and waits. So I sing our bedtime song, feed them, and we all go to bed. Her favorite is Fancy Feast shrimp. Dad would always go to the store and buy every can they had. I have since discovered that Chewy sells it by the case, so it is always on my list when I place my order. She always finds the smallest box or basket to sleep in. Her motto is "if I fits I sits"!! When I am using my walker she always manages to hop on for a ride. So I find myself going around the house giving walker rides. She brings so much love and joy to our little family.”

Emma
This month, unbelievably, Emma turns thirteen years old! She was in a litter of three week old foster kittens when I first met her and as soon as I saw her, I knew she would be mine forever! The love at first sight was mutual and the bond was instant. As a tiny kitten, Emma spent her days riding around on my shoulder “helping” me with the day’s activities. Thirteen years later, she still enjoys doing that, although it’s a little more difficult on me now! She sleeps every night on my pillow, wrapped around my head with my arm around her. Emma has always been the caregiver. A lot of kitties have passed through our home with various emotional and medical issues and she’s demanded to look after all of them. She’s the momma cat that loves everyone. When Mom and Dad are gone, Emma is always left in charge. She rules the roost and everyone knows it. In my eyes, Emma can do no wrong, not that she’s spoiled! She’s just an angel on earth. In fact, her nickname is Angel Pie. She’s never far from my side and takes care of me always. She loves to give hugs and kisses and has everyone wrapped around her little paw.
Shelter dogs traditionally don't have birthdays, but thanks to one caring animal organization, they now have DOGust 1st.

💜🐾 July's Pet of the Month 💜🐾
Molly came to us at six weeks old from a large “accidental litter”. I tend to pick the shy, sit-in-the-corner, sad looking babies and I should know better by now! Once home, that lasted about an hour! Frankie was about 5 yrs old at the time and we thought he’d enjoy another pug to puggy around with. The look he gave me when Molly broke loose was one of utter betrayal. I think he was shocked that any self-respecting pug would even behave in such a way! She hung off his ears and tail, jumped on his head, attacked his belly, barked in his face and chased him constantly. Then one day, we noticed how much he really loved it. They became best friends and were inseparable. His dignified behavior did NOT rub off on Molly. We attended a Puppy Party at our vet’s office and, well, let’s just say that the few people still working there after 15 yrs continue to tease me about “Molly from the Puppy Party!” Her favorite activity was untying your shoes…and pulling them off your feet… while you were walking! Molly has raised several pugs after her and her influence is very evident in all of them. At fifteen yrs old, Molly has slowed down but she still has that puppy spirit she’s always had. She is the funniest dog I’ve ever met and we’ve learned many life lessons from her! She is loved by everyone who knows her and infinitely by us.
