3 years ago today I set up Otterington paws pet services. How time flies when you are having fun!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported my little business.

Being a dog walker has enabled me to spend precious time with my kids that I wouldn’t be able to do in other jobs. I can do the school runs, attend plays, take time off in the holidays etc. And I get to work with animals - my lifelong passion. The thing that gives me so much pleasure. It’s the perfect balance ❤️

Don’t think I’ve ever been as cold as I have this week 🥶
Your lovely dogs didn’t complain though. All of them were happy to go on their walks but were probably sick of hearing me moan about the weather to them 😆
I think I’ve let everyone know that I’m not working very much next week with it being half term. Anyone who is already booked in, don’t worry - I’ll be there as arranged.

Hello February 👋🏻

January might have started off slowly but I’m well and truly back in full swing as February arrives.

I welcomed a few new faces in January and look forward to getting to know them better as the weeks go by.

And then there are my gorgeous regulars (not all shown here) who I love spending my days with. How lucky am I?!

Yesterday I ended up at the urgent treatment centre at the Friarage with severe shoulder pain. Unfortunately it looks like there might be some serious wear and tear issues and I need further tests to find out fully what is going on.

Thank you to those customers who I have had to cancel walks with over the last 48 hours for your understanding.

Until further notice, I won’t be taking on any new dogs and will be in touch with existing customers to discuss the situation further if I don’t think I can currently manage your dog.

There is lots we can do to support our pets this evening. Just thought I’d post this useful advice in case anyone is worried and not sure how to best to support their dog/cat/small pet/horse etc.
🐾 ❤️ 🐾

Every year thousands of pets will suffer as a result of fireworks being let off. Blue Cross animal hospitals see a marked rise in pets requiring medication during these times.

It’s National black cat day today 🐈‍⬛

Here is my own cat, Bea

She was a cat we fostered for Blue Cross Thirsk rehoming centre

After that we were failed fosterers because Bea became a Henderson.

Despite the rodent presents she brings into the house most mornings, she is the coolest cat! She’s a free spirit in most ways but loves the children and will often come on the school run.

We love you Beatrix ❤️🐾❤️

I’ve had the pleasure of looking after Georgie this week. He’s recently been adopted from Blue Cross Thirsk rehoming centre and is settling in really well. Isn’t he a beautiful boy 🐈‍⬛❤️🐾
