A slightly less busy week on the run up to the summer holidays. Not sure where the summer is though- it’s been mainly raining but the pets don’t seem to mind too much.

If you have any dates you’d like me to cover for you over the next few weeks, please let me know as soon as you can as I’m trying to reduce my workload during August so I can plan days out with the children.

Here's one thing you can do right now to make your dog’s life even better than it already is: let them sniff! Walking your dog provides physical exercise, but letting them sniff along the way will provide your dog with mental exercise and stimulation, too. Not only is sniffing important to your dog, but it is essential for your dog’s wellbeing. Studies have also shown that olfactory stimulation lowers a dog’s heart rate and reduces stress levels. Next time you take your dog out, we encourage you to slow down and let your dog "smell the roses" and other epic scents on their walk!

Had the pleasure of looking after these beauties over the weekend. Such affectionate boys. I found it difficult to leave each visit as they are the most adorable characters who really enjoyed being pampered.

Next weeks’ forecast is hot, particularly at the beginning of the week ☀️☀️☀️

If any of my customers would like to change their walk times to mornings or cancel their walks if they are at home, please just let me know.

Any walks that are booked in across the middle of the day will be shortened and I’ll find shaded areas wherever possible to keep your dogs as cool and comfortable as possible.

For your dogs safety, I might make the decision to take them for short toilet walks only and spend time with them indoors if it feels too hot.

Your pets are my priority and to keep them safe I’ll make a decision based on the individual and the temperature at the time.

They are all so different which is why I like to solo walk.
Some potter, some race, some play, some snuggle, some sniff, some paddle.

This week we’ve been mainly drenched! ☔️
But, I’ve still had a lovely time as always with the animals. Some walks were cut short due to the torrential rain on Wednesday - can’t remember another day where it rained so heavily and so constantly. Even the water-loving pooches thought twice about going out in it.

🌟And just a reminder 🌟
I am on holiday after today until 31st May. I will respond to messages when I’m back. Fingers crossed for some sunshine over half term ☀️

Today I said goodbye to Willow. Her familys’ situation is changing and they no longer need a dog walker. We have had lots of great adventures together over the last 18 months.
Willow is a wonderful little pocket rocket, always happy and full of life. She’s been a joy to walk.

Super duper busy week back after the Easter holidays.

It was a very soggy start but the weather did improve as the week went on.

Meet new girl Sadie. She’s such a sweet soul. Being a little nervous, I’m doing everything at her pace so she doesn’t feel overwhelmed.

This is why I choose to do solo walks. My focus is entirely on her. I can read her body language and adjust what we do to suit her needs.

By our 3rd session Sadie felt confident enough to play with her toys with me so I’m chuffed about that. Over the next few weeks we’ll get to know each other better and (hopefully) become good pals.

It’s been a busy but great week. 29 walks done. At least 25,000 steps a day. A couple of sunnier days and less rain which was nice. It’s exciting to see the snowdrops appearing. Hopefully Spring is round the corner.

I am really glad I made the decision to walk your dogs on a 1-2-1 basis. I do such different things with each of them and every session is tailored to suit that dog and what THEY really want to get out of a walk.
Some of them love to sniff every blade of grass, some like to do walks at top speed, some love to meet other dogs, others want to avoid, some like to visit new places, some like their routine and predictability.
If I was walking a group of them at the same time, I couldn’t guarantee their walks would be as fulfilling. And giving them the best time is the most important thing.

Back to work tomorrow after a lovely break over Christmas and New Year. Just had little Oreo to look after for a few days over the festive period. He enjoyed some left over turkey.

Looking forward to seeing all your lovely pets this week. I need their help to walk off all this naughty food I’ve been eating over the past fortnight 😳
