Why are so many people okay with just letting their dogs age when we can fight for them to stay strong and mobile??I’m fighting every day for Freja to stay strong so she can move better and live longer. Here’s what most people don’t realise: the problems we blame on ageing, like struggling to stand, slowing down on walks, or hesitating on stairs, aren’t just “old age.”They’re stiffness and weakness. And we can do something about that. Our dogs deserve more than for us to simply accept decline. They deserve us fighting for their wellbeing, their mobility, and their longevity.Let’s fight for our dogs - because they’re worth it. 💙🐾Comment if you’re willing to fight and share this so others can join us!!!

Most dogs with arthritis are in pain longer than they need to be because of these 3 myths:
1. “It’s just old age, nothing you can do.”
2. “My dog should rest as much as possible.”
3. “Supplements are crucial”

Here’s the truth:
🐾 Arthritis is not just aging. It’s a medical condition you can slow down and improve.
🐾 Gentle, guided movement keeps joints stronger and less stiff.
🐾 A few minutes of strengthening exercises can make life easier, longer, and happier.

If you’ve believed any of these myths, it’s not your fault but now you know better to make a difference! Strengthening exercises are the secret to managing arthritis well that people don’t do!

Want an easy way to strengthen your dog’s hips at home? This simple “Two Up on a Step” drill builds muscle strength and balance. Guide your dog up onto a low step, then ask them to shake a paw and alternate sides, holding each shake for 3 seconds before switching. Aim for 10 each side.A few minutes of this can make a huge difference over time!Save this reel so you can try it later with your pup. 💪🏼💙🐾

Most people miss the early signs their dog is struggling on walks…
But here’s the thing: your dog is trying to tell you.

If they’re slowing down… lagging behind… or suddenly not excited to leash up - that’s not “just getting older” or being lazy. That’s discomfort.

Rounded back
Head bobbing or bouncing
Limping or hesitation
Tail dropping to one side
Slowing down or stopping altogether

These aren’t “quirks.” These are red flags.

And if your dog is showing even one of these signs, it’s time to pause and ask:
Is this just a bad day… or is something deeper going on?

Step one: Book a vet check to rule out pain
Step two: Start home exercises using The Dog Rehab App
Step three: With the right support, your walks should start to improve and so should your dog’s quality of life!

Your dog’s body is constantly communicating.
The question is: are you listening?

Share this with a friend so they know what to look out for too! 💙🐾

It started when I was sweeping the garage and he thought it was an intruder! With some training I eventually was able to finish the job and I dare say the broom and Dingo became acquaintances! 🙊Then we reached a house with 6 cats, which I heard before I saw! ❗️one reason why I don’t listen to music anymore is to make sure I’m completely aware of my surroundings! So to make sure he succeeded we walked back and then crossed the road. He did sooo well to disengage 🥹 Next there was a man quite a fair way away which Dingo was aware of but did well to redirect at my prompting. 👏🏼Then the many, many, many dogs who were also enjoying their first time out in days after the rain 😫We had lots of challenges today in such a short time but super proud of him 💕💕 ❤️

Imagine being told your one-year-old dog needs a hip replacement 😮

That’s what happened to Marlie.
Her mum was shocked – she was so young. Surgery felt like such a big step, so she decided to try something else first.

They started a structured strengthening program – just 5–10 minutes a day, at home.
Week by week, Marlie got stronger.
She moved more freely. She needed less pain medication.
And surgery? It was no longer needed.

Marlie’s story isn’t rare – I see this happen all the time.
Targeted, progressive exercises can be life-changing for dogs with arthritis, injuries, or weakness.

If your dog is slowing down, you don’t have to just watch them decline.
You can start helping them the same way Marlie’s mum did – with safe, proven exercises you can do at home.
