Many thanks to all of the hands and horses that participated in the South Coast very own amazing race.

We had so much fun with you guys on the beach. Joining us was the and their beautiful thoroughbreds who carried all their riders (whom had no riding experience) gracefully across the beach with not even one incident.
It was a wonderful experience. Huge thanks to everyone who was apart of it and ofcourse the amazing racers who were so deligent with our horses.
I am compiling a slide show with many more photos to follow.

We have a lovley little jog we do on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8:30 from the Equine Centre down to the beach.
Any lovley locals are welcome to join us!
It's a really great way we like to start the week and our horses love the excercise!

Today was incredibly challenging.
But after hours in the ring and the wonderful assistance of our new team member Laura may who took the pictures.
I finally managed to win the trust of one of our wild horses and back him.
It was an incredible expirience. I remain so in awe of the sheer strength and will power of these Boerperde.
Truly says somthing about true Native South african animals.
Any other horse would have given in after 30minutes max.
I was in that ring with Roan for hours.

Every day I am a little bit more humbled, a little more respectful and a little more grateful, to walk such a close journey with horses.

Some days we are perfectly in sync.
One heartbeat,
One breathe.
Other days we are fighting for dominance
Face to face, fury and power
Waiting for whos giving in first.
I have had death defying humbling moments which force me to stay rooted, hold my ground, know my power
And always stay humble.
They are much like the ocean.
Wild, dangerous and the most peaceful, grace filled creatures youve ever known.

To everyone who loves horses,
You are incredibly special people and always remember that the beauty you see in them, also resides within you.

Its been a long week trying to get our wild horses backed and trained.
Everyday I am in awe of their spirits and sheer power but I think we are finally making headway.
