🥳🎶🎁 HAPPY GOTCHA DAY TO ME🎁🎶🥳

It's been nine years since some crazy couple took three year old me home from CCHS and it's been a heck of a ride!
I ended up with two feline sisters and a beagle brother, a 100+ mile move, a human stepseester (🩷 you MacKenzie!), and all the treats I can eat!

We're doing a low-key celebration this year with just some Bocce's birthday treats cuz it's been a busy weekend - we did some traveling, I still have my "cone of shame" for a few more days, and mom's still sick.

I'm trying to trick mom & dad into thinking I'm a peaceful little angel 😇.

Why, you ask?
Well, they caught me chewing on my incisions🤫. Now they know I found a way around this silly cone and can't be left alone.

Even at my age, they think I can't be left alone. This is an outage🙀😾! Senior pups are angels😇, we do no wrong🩷!

Well, I've certainly had better days.

This morning, mom & dad tricked me into the car and took me to the doctor. They said I was going to get my 🦷 cleaned but I woke up all groggy with this dumb plastic thing around my face!

My 🦷 are clean, I guess mom didn't lie about that, but the doctor found a few lumps and bumps that they took out too.

Mom tried to apologize with a treat 🦴, which I did eventually eat, but not while she was around. I cannot let her win!

This is Snoopy. He made his debut in Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic on this day (Oct. 4) in 1950. Before he was the Flying Ace or Joe Cool, Charlie Brown's dog Snoopy walked on four legs and didn't even have thought bubbles. I love this time of year cuz mom and dad buy me special Pumpk'n Spice Bocce's Bakery treats!

I've been getting lots of 🍎 treats too, cuz mom went 🍎 picking with her friend Yvonne. They also bought me a new fall bow tie. I tried it on (pic below) but am saving it for after Halloween.

Now, the less fun news:

I'm sick, which is why I haven't posted lately🤒
I'm allergic to grass and dew makes it more itchy, even with upping my Apoquel. I have an ear infection and I chewed a gnarly infection into my feet 🤕

I also haven't been myself since I was in the hospital back in May, my doctor thinks I have something called laryngeal paralysis.
Thankfully, mom used to work in people medicine and is familiar with it 💕.

I spent some time with mom this morning during her work meetings. I started off attentive and positive but man, it just seemed like they went on forever!

It's another hot one y'all 🥵! Now that I'm older I don't tolerate the Midwest summers like I used to, so mom made me some of my favorite frozen snack-os 💜🦴

-No sodium added chicken stock with training treats
-No sodium added chicken stock with peanut butter and cheese
-Ge**er very berry toddler snack pouch mixed with Greek yogurt

Dad was trying to clean my bed this weekend but as you can see, I reminded him it's MY BED!

He waited until mom had me at the vet to wash it and I wasn't happy but boy, I did appreciate how good it smelled and how soft it was

(Vet visit was just a follow up, and they said I was still a good boy!)

We celebrated mom's birthday & Father's Day this weekend and they didn't want me to feel left out, so they bought me my own party treats 🥳🤩

Dad got mom an amazing cake and, because she's like me and can't have wheat, she snuck me a little taste. It was good, but nowhere near as good as my Bocce's Bakery party treats 😋😋

It's been a rough couple of days. Lily, my feline sister, went to the doctor yesterday but didn't come back. I was confused so dad had to explain that I'm now their last living child 😿

A bit about Lily - mom & dad adopted her from the Lincoln County Humane Society in Merrill, WI 14 years ago, when she was just 2 or 3 (along with Doodles, my other feline sister that passed a couple years ago).

She was a cat with a serious attitude and we didn't exactly get along. With that said, I have to admit she looked pretty damn good for 16-17 years old!

Mom had me at the vet late last week for another follow up and my yearly exam. I got three shots, another up the nose, and all sorts of pictures - from chest to tail!

My chest pictures continue to improve and my hip & back pictures confirmed what mom and dad have been saying for a while now... I'm an old man 🤷

Mom and dad switched out my bow tie again 😍

I got into more shenanigans again. In the process of stealing my sister's wet food, I knocked down mom's peanut butter candle and decided to snack on that too.

She loves peanut butter as much as I do so she wasn't happy. She said, "I'm not angry, just disappointed" and now I kinda feel bad.

But I'm still cute, so 🤷😂

Guys, I'm tired. Mom and dad had to drop me off at Lucky Dog Daycare Saturday to go help GramGram cuz Shabadoo was in the hospital again... They live almost 4 hours away and I don't do well in the car. Plus, they have a beagle puppy and I'm too old to tolerate that kind of energy.
Dad came and got me yesterday and while I like staying with Greg & Team, I'm happy to be home and nap on my couch.

Mom and dad are incredibly grateful that Greg & Team are a safe place for me to go & that they could accommodate the emergency need.

(GramGram & Shabadoo are what I call my dad's parents, for all you Futurama fans)

I made mom and dad's gift while they were out visiting family - I ate two pouches plus six cans of my feline sister's wet food. As you can see, I opened everything myself 😁

I left part two of their gift upstairs in mom's office/stepseester's room 💩🫢

Yesterday was my eight year gotcha day, which makes me about 11 years old now! Mom says I have stinky old man breath but I do need a dental cleaning😂

Mom and dad threw me a few extra treats yesterday; mom had another surgery Friday so we're gonna celebrate when she's feeling better in a few days. I'll be sure to post pictures ❤️
