i have a galah available too. Even though this cockatoo has lived in an aviary for a few years, he still likes being pet.

Fully weaned kakariki is ready. One (do not know which one) is practicing learning how to talk. My kakariki range from 350-450. This color is $400. They love playing with these toys and they were bathing before they were weaned.
This shows them eating from a spoon before weaning.

I used to let people into my aviaries to hand feed treats to the birds and it was quite enjoyable; for my human guests, myself and my birds. Then FB mob bashers as well as in person through the local SW Oregon area started public bashing and I made my non breeding aviaries a closed one. Just like other good hookbill breeders though, no one is allowed in my breeder aviaries for bio security reasons. Hence I no longer take my pet birds to the bird club because there are so many birds that go there now. Good for them, but I don't want my birds exposed to so many others. When people come to get birds from me, they are allowed to see my in home birds and/or babies that I may have. No one from the NWBC has asked to see my facility, but even if they did, I would not let them.
No one can vet the home of a potential buyer of their animals because no one has a crystal ball of who may get a divorce, die, or know what goes on behind closed doors etc. I've even had one bird returned with no request for a refund because she could not handle the bird. How was I to know she would have trouble with it. Everyone's mileage differs.
I do not benefit from having an opinion and voicing it just as others do. I like helping people. And I have always wanted to defend myself against malicious people however and most don't seem to like that for some reason.
Decades ago: My eclectus pair and their babies. It was a good time back in the day before social media.

EDIT to ad: To help make sense of some replies below, I had to delete some comments from 2 club members who started publicly bashing me (not on FB, but I was getting phone calls from people who heard them). They got pretty nasty with me here too. I'm not trying to make drama, but I just do not think we should try to be parrot nutritionists on our own.

The owner of this macaw is one of the people who have bashed me in our bird club. She thought she knew everything about birds! I could see from pictures of bird club meetings that this macaw was not doing well. Birds in the wild don't do this.

Available birds:
Five African Greys, Congo. 3 females, 2 males. previous pets. 7500/all.
pair of Blue & Gold macaws. Female has permanent short upper beak which does not hinder her breeding. bonded with new mate. 2500.
Galah Cockatoo. semi tame, but lives in an aviary here. Would be completely tame in someone's kitchen. Cockatoos are like that. 2500.
Pair amazons. never had a box, sexed pair, previous pets. 1500.

Send phone number so I know you are at least somewhat serious. If you voice mail is full, nothing more I can do. If you don't leave me a number, I can assume you are not interested.

These babies are a hoot. In the evening they get ants in their pants and go every which way, running, hopping, flapping, wiggling! So funny. (New zealand parrot called a kakariki)

I received a call today about my Galah. Oh my, what a pleasure to talk to someone who has been into birds since before the '60s. He knows so many people I knew back in the day. He even knew Richard Schubot personally. Richard is the man I got my Major Mitchells from as well as my eclectus and my Galahs. So much fun talking with him and hearing his stories.

Galah Rose Breasted cockatoo, 13 years old. Lost mate, necropsy was done, not contagious.
Brought in the kitchen and even though was used as a breeder (and neither laid eggs all those years) likes to be pet and eats out of my hand. Said to be sexed as male, but eyes are not black or very dark.

My African Grey pairs may be the most fun to care for. But it is difficult for these prior pet males to learn how to do the physical breeding act. Clyde, Mozart, Cricket, Gadgette and others...come on guys....get it together. The girls are very willing.

Not many people got to see my baby kakariki yesterday at the bird fair. Those along with the heavily marked pied cockatiels stayed behind me at the table. It was more important to me to keep them from potential pathogens than a potential sale. (although the kaks are spoken for already) I have a pair of kakariki on eggs though.

Gave my Blue and Gold macaws a nest box yesterday. Watching them on the camera. They are already going in the box.

I'll have adult kakariki and cockatiels at the bird mart as well as baby cockatiels available after they are weaned.
white faced pied babies too.

What is a bird flipper?

I'll preface this by saying I am not against supposed bird flippers. If I was, I'd be totally against pet shops; the ultimate bird flipper. Just like car salesman who 'flip' cars, red wiggler worm sales who 'flip' worms, pet shops 'flip' all animals. They have to buy them at wholesale and sell them at retail. That is their goal; to make money off of birds. But private party people if they are 'caught' buying and selling birds at all, they are dubbed this derogatory bird flipper name. Again, I am not against anyone buying and selling anything as we all have to make a living. But I have been called a bird flipper and members of our club who have given me names and numbers of birds available know that I am not or I would have bought every bird that was offered to me. I only purchased ones I wanted to keep when the member of our club would call to tell me about them. Rescues take birds in for free and some sell those birds to the public. It is called 'adopting'. Not all rescues are bad people, but when I am called a flipper by one on the other side of the range east of Medford and who takes in birds and then sells them, I'd call that the pot calling the kettle black.
I wish people would put this to rest as well as so much misinformation about birds in general. Please help stop the bashing of people by calling them bird flippers. Or at least put it in to perspective and call a spade a spade.

I am in hopes my truck does start for bird mart tomorrow morning. Have had a time of it today. Finally got it running.
The stress though makes me wonder if I should leave the african grey and the amazon pair at home. People can come here and buy them if they want them.

I weigh my babies EVERY morning. And I weigh the formula powder and know how much a CC of liquid weighs (GRAINS, not grams). So I know exactly what percentage of solids they are getting EVERY feeding. They also get a certain percentage of formula per their weight in grams.
Who else does this? Who else keeps records like this?

These kakariki are long necked and long legged as babies!

These cockatiel babies are heavily marked pieds. And the yellows seem to be a more intense yellow than I've seen before. The whites are white faced pieds. What is left will be available at the bird fair on Oct 2 at 3377 table rock road in Medford. (10-3)

This is worth watching if you are searching for a parrot to buy. Most of it is very good information and may help you from getting scammed.

Had a baby kakariki born with a wry neck (torticolis). I cured it. Within 24 hours he/she was straight.
Amazing and surprising.
