This group has been set up over the last year to help with anything badger related. We have had several injured/ill badgers to help, as well as the recording of road casualties. We rely on people contacting us with information on setts and badger activity so please do get in touch. Cornwall is a large area to cover so If you could to be part of our network of helpers, mainly verifying road casualties/reports, please let us know.

Unfortunately not a good couple of days, an RTA yesterday morning near to Crantock the badger was still alive but was euthanised at CVets as his back legs were paralysed. And another this morning at Tresillion which again was still alive but by the time our volunteer got there it had passed away.
Then tonight a very small cub was found at the back of the Beach Huts on Swanpool Beach, but at Rosemullion vets on being examined it passed away.
Big thanks to those that called them in and also to the vets and our volunteers.

Wales and Scotland manage bovine TB with no culls.

England has:
1. the 'intensive badger cull'
2. the 'supplementary badger cull'
3. the ‘endless badger culls’ consultation

An early morning call-out for our volunteers to rescue this little cub from the Perranporth area.
A call to Cornwall Animal Hospital who agreed to see the cub straight away.
Unfortunately while there the cub had a seizure and had to be put to sleep. ☹️

Thanks to the lady that called it in with an exact location and to Cornwall Animal Hospital who didn’t hesitate to see it. also Cornwalls badger group volunteers who dealt with the situation straight away.
Thank you all.

Well it’s done we now have a Labour Government. We now need lots of pressure on them to get this evil Badger Cull stopped as soon as possible.

The Supplementary badger culling licences have still not been publicly published by the filth that is (un)Natural England but as it's been mentioned there are 17 existing zones continuing we can assume that DWCE (East Cornwall) Area 22 has now finished as it was licenced for 2 years up to 31st Jan 24.

It will mean though that the 2 North Cornwall zones, Areas 4 & 5, and the huge mid Cornwall zone, Area 35 will now be actively culling.

As ever if you suspect cull activity or see anything related please PM us immediately.

And when it’s time to cast that vote don’t forget who instigated this disgusting, unscientific and corrupt genocide, David Cameron et al.

Another little cub found in a FP this morning by a cyclist, was taken to CVets where he was checked all over and given a clean bill of health, luckily we knew where the sett was that he most likely came from.
So here we are returning him to his sett.
Thanks as always to the cyclist and CVets
