We are so thankful for the tremendous support during this time. All of the support has just touched our hearts and we cannot even express all of our gratitude.
From all the gofundme donations, those who have sent supplies from our Amazon list, neighbors who have helped us with water for our horses, the prayer warriors that kept praying for us and the family/friends who have just listened and talked to us..thank you.
I got to come back to work Monday and the company I work at got us set up with a working generator (we had a generator that decided, after being hit by the hurricane/tornado, not to work) so now we have electricity and water. Amber got the well tank leaks fixed and back upright, so there is water for the horses and to our homes from our well.
God has blessed us so much during this time.

We, at Angel Trail Ranch, were a direct hit! With Hurricane & tornado winds over 125 mph, we have trees down, as well as landing on fencing, water well was knocked over (we don't know if it works because no electricity), now sporadic cell service, playground, hay shed, tack shed all destroyed... as well as roofing on horse sheds. The horses are doing well..bringing in water from a nearby pond for them. Theyre getting eaten by horse flies, hornets and bees. We have GoFundMe https:// gofund.me/8d6062ee and Amazon list https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/12Y1H7CKJOLAB?ref_=wl_share if youd like to help. We appreciate all the prayers and help.. Robyn Amber and Tyler are doing good as expected and working hard to get us back up and running.

When I see a young woman I have known for years show love to her horse no matter what happens during an event, this lets me know Angel Trail Ranch is on the right path!
Rebecca Nicole Johnson love you girl! “Always pet your horse after you run good or not they don't know. They only know they did their best❤️❤️❤️”

Said the woman to her horse, as she picked his feet, “I have no money.” And the horse replied, “but you have me.”
Said the woman to the horse, as she brushed his coat, “I never get enough sleep.” And the horse replied, “but you have me.”
Said the woman to the horse, as she combed his mane, “I am not married.” And the horse replied, “but you have me.”
Said the woman to the horse, as she combed his tail, “Some days, I have nothing left.” And the horse replied, “but you have me.”
And he leaned his head into her torso, and she twirled his forelock around her fingers.
Said the woman to the horse, “I am the luckiest woman alive.”

Good morning ☕️🙏🏻
(a.) Proper hand position with a split rein:
Reins may be held in either the right or left hand, but may not be switched during the class. With a split rein, the exhibitor may place only the index finger between the reins and the remainder of the reins must fall on the same side as the hand the reins are in. The remainder of the rein must never be touched by the off hand during the class. The hand holding the rein should be placed slightly in front of, and just above level with the horn. The position of the hand not holding the rein is optional, but it should be kept free of the horse and equipment and held in a relaxed manner, with the exhibitor’s body straight at all times. The “off hand” may also be held in a “mirror position to the rein hand.
(b.) Proper hand position with a romel rein:
The right or left hand may hold the reins, with the remainder of the rein coiled neatly in the off hand. There should be approximately 16 inches between hands, with the off hand behind the cinch. The rein hand an have no fingers between the reins and should be behind in a fist position just in front of the horn.

I can’t believe July is over tomorrow! This rain may look crazy but actually amazing here in the south, it’s so different than Washington. We actually love it…it isnt continual 😂 The horses just playing with their zoomies and rolling. www.angeltrailranch.com

Don’t be ashamed of the old, dusty saddle.

It’s easy to see others with their brand new saddles and feel like you don’t belong. Your old saddle stands out, and you become embarrassed by the dust it carries from hours of practice and the scars from colts it once broke.

Soap and oil can only do so much. The dust is gone, but the tears and scuffs stand out more now than ever, and you consider staying home from shows until you can buy a new saddle yourself. Except the budget isn’t there.

Here’s something to keep in mind the next time you look at that old saddle: a pretty saddle doesn’t make a winner. It’s the hours you spend in it and the time you take to perfect yourself and your horse. That layer of dust is a testament to your dedication and hard work. Just ask Brandon Collins who won a million in an old, dusty, torn saddle.

Don’t be embarrassed by the old saddle.

Moving over 3000 miles from one climate to another has been a learning experience! We’ve learned a lot about heat and humidity together. I found this and wanted to know thoughts.

We use fly traps around the property but I saw this hack and was wondering if anyone else has tried this?

Sweet pickle fly trap!
Step 1: Buy sweet pickles.
Step 2: Eat the pickles, save the juice.
Step 3: Use a Philips head screwdriver and a hammer to tap 4 holes on the top, big enough for flies to get in.
Step 4: Wait two days for results like these, even works during the rainy season.
🥒 Dill pickles won't work. Has to be sweet to attract the flies. You can use a mix of ACV, water and sugar, but the sweet pickle mix is just way easier and a good use of the leftover brine during my BBQ season.
