After a very long spring and summer of bad storms and knee problems I am finally feeing better. Today I got the new plastic on the high tunnel, and finished filling the raised beds.

I want to say big thank you to all of our friends, family, and neighbors that have stopped by, called, or checked in. The support is much appreciated. We had some amazing help and were able to salvage some plants. We will let everyone know when we have our plant sale dates. They will be in the next week or two. After that, we will assess where to go from there. I know there’s a lot of people in our communities struggling and trying to assess the damage that they have as well. Any help or support that we can give we will offer up to anyone that needs it. We have both water and electricity now so if you need to fill some water containers or charge a phone let us know.

I want to start off by saying that we are all safe and unharmed. And haven’t heard of anyone being injured and for that we are truly blessed. In the storms tonight we did take some damage. Our retail greenhouse is gone along with most of what was in it, and the top of the big high tunnel, this weekend we will be trying to sort through and salvage what we can.

Thank you to everyone that made the trip out to see us and get some Mothers Day hanging baskets. In the next week or so we will be moving all the flowers and vegetable plants up to the front so you can come get what you need. Hopefully the weather cooperates and the ground warms up enough to start planting.

Luckily we have not gotten that high on prices. I want to thank our loyal customers that have come to see us. Prices are higher this year due to our supply price increase and we are trying to not pass all of that off onto our customers

Eli will have the greenhouse open today from 4:30-7:00. Make sure to come and get your hanging baskets for Mother’s Day! There are a few other flowers as well. As the weather warms up we will have more to offer including vegetable plants.

So it has been a rough spring, but things are looking up. For those that don’t know I tore my medial meniscus and will be having surgery next week. The week after that the greenhouse heater went out and froze almost everything. We have been replanting like crazy and working on setting up this retail greenhouse as I won’t be making many market trips with my knee. As you can see the perennials are starting to come up. We are still going to have our hanging flower baskets and different annual and perennial flowers and some vegetable crops, please be patient as this spring weather isn’t helping any either.

Just a little update, we did have a setback last week when our thermostat in The greenhouse quit working and we had quite a few trays freeze and die. Luckily we had some backups already seeded and with this weather it will be a while anyways. But the good news is we will still be opening a retail greenhouse at the house this year. Construction on that has started and we should have it open around the begging of May, please have patience as I will also be having knee surgery around then, next week I will post some updated plant pictures and hopefully the new greenhouse

Well it was a productive day with my boys, we planted hostas and bleeding hearts that we will be selling at our greenhouse this spring. Make sure to stop by and get your plants this spring once we open. Hope this weather settles down and warms up a bit so we can get going. # bleedinghearts

Greenhouse is getting full. And more seeds being started every day. This year besides farmers markets, you will be able to shop right at the house. So look forward to more details on that. Spring is in full effect and plants are really putting on some growth.

First bloom of the season, greenhouse is filling up more every day. We will have annuals and perennials and vegetable starts for you this year along with our hanging baskets.

Got our soil from Cowsmo in WI today and got to work. We will be offering perennials, annual flowers, hanging baskets and Vegetable starts again for sale this year. The big helper was helping get the 1gallon perennials put in place
