Have you heard the buzz about the new "C" saddles? C stands for Change, Camillo Cavallin, Classy, whatever you want it to! I recently received my first C saddle, which I ordered with Torino flaps (my favorite model), Trentino flaps (which I've never managed to try), and Italy flaps (since I rarely have one in stock).
The look of the saddle truly is very classy, with a more typical seat skirt over the stirrup hangers. The stirrup straps can easily go on top of the flap or underneath. The seat is deep like many dressage saddles (but can be ordered lower which might be preferred for the Italy jumping setup.)
But here's the truly amazing thing. Not only can the flaps be changed, they can be positioned with an extreme amount of specificity. They can be move forward from standard by 2cm and back another 2cm. They can be moved up and down by 4cm and the angle can be changed by 5 degrees which allowed my Torino flap to be set up with the same block angle as the Italy.
Some of these changes require the seat cover to be removed but within the standard up/down position, the forward/back can be adjusted quickly.
And the new Fiore leather is so cushy on the seat! I've already ordered myself another so I can leave this one dedicated to demos. It's a 17"/piccolo but I have an 18"/Grande on the way with Lipica and Valle d'Aosta flaps (and then I'll get to test if the flaps can go back and forth between sizes.)
Here are some random pics from my testing.

The final clip for the Ghost Merano Flexx which travelled the world from dealer to dealer and from one horse shape to another, the inspiration for the Flexx base which has helped so many horses who just need the ability to move their body in their own special way without restrictions of a tree or even a more rigid treeless base. It's a gamechanger for some horse and rider teams! If you wonder if your horse needs something like this - set up a demo with your area's dealer and your horse will let you know!

This is exciting news! Ghost introduces the "C" line of saddles. C for Camillo Cavallin, the saddle designer, C for Comfort, Class, Competition, . . . and . . . Change! Because with these saddles you can change your flap. Change it's position a little, but primarily change to a different flap! This is going to be great for our demo process because (soon) I'll be able to send a saddle with a couple flaps for you to try. The options will be mostly limited to the long flap designs more often seen in the show arena, but those are my favorites for trail and endurance too. The list includes Torino, Italy, Lipica, Flamenco, Bolzano, Trentino, Roma, Veneto, Valle d'Aosto, and the Aussie Deco. I will place my first order soon and report back with my experiences!
BTW, the first C saddle was purchased immediately after one ride and she likes it better and better with each ride! Her horse agrees.

If you like color, we can make something for you! Ghost's fall special offer might focus on the minimalistic saddles, but they're not minimal in style!

Check out some of Ghost's Original and Classic models - there's no end to the color/material fun we can have putting an order together for you! I still have my eye on ordering a Trentino.

5 more miles! Almost all trotting. Alamo is definitely wider than the other 2 horses I've ridden and I felt that at the walk. But his trot and canter (!) and my super comfy Ghost Torino had me settled well enough I could have kept going. But other things to do!

Ghost is offering a fall promotion! Focusing on the minimal saddles that often go overlooked, but are a great option for lightweight, close contact with your legs, simple design yet plenty of options for personalization! I'll attach pics of a couple I have in stock in the comments below. Email [email protected] as I won't see comments here very often (thank you FB!)

Some good firsts today! I scooped some p**p (did not try to move a wheelbarrow!), led Alamo to pasture (second time on that), put on paddock boots by myself, bumped up to 40 min sitting on the saddle stand alternating 5 min active sitting with 5 min posting or 2 point. Just need a safe horse to mount!

Finally made it to the barn to visit the ponies! And I drove! I'll be good to drive in general when I've fully graduated from walker to cane, just because I haven't figured our a good way to manage stowing and retrieving the walker from the driver's seat. I could do it in an emergency but I've decided I should avoid emergencies! Better every day! And a saddle is still way more comfortable than a chair.

I think I'm learning more about my injuries from every professional! Best overall view came from the wonderful Siiri Berg during our first PT session today since she's looking at me overall, not just focused on the hip break. I knew there was some rib involvement as well as vertebrae. I thought 2 ribs but it's actually 5 ribs with 2 breaks each. And L1-L4 each were impacted.
Really astonishing that I feel very little of this! I guess my body was in good shape and everything else is doing its best to support the fractures. I even got 76 sleep score last night. I'm off prescription pain killers, just 2 aspirin a day. I think the Kloud PEMF/PEMA gets a lot of credit for supporting all the surrounding tissue too.
I'll stick with the walker a while longer so I font stress ribs and vertebrae in any asymmetrical way. But I do have a saddle stand sitting in the living room so I can start working on my riding position.
Pic of my new hardware!

Oh my! Who thinks they want to pry this bad boy out of my hands? It's a piccolo Buttera with a higher Iberian cantle. Alligator accents and studs on the cantle and silver conchos. It's super cushy. Some people think the Iberian cantle makes the saddle feel smaller but it feels great to me (5'2", 125 #) and it also allows the panels to be a bit shorter so this could be great for a shorter backed horse. (hmm, I have one of those, no, no, I don't need another saddle!) Email me if you're interested - [email protected]. I won't see posts here for days, you gotta email! And people in my region (most western states) get first dibs!
