There are a few horsewomen who would never consider themselves to be psychic, who will privately admit to me that they get a sense for a horse through their intuition. They'll describe a sense that the horse is a certain colour, or associate a quality like a shape or texture with them. Sometimes they're picking up on the general sense of an animal's energy, perhaps their wellness or behaviour; at others it's their mind they are sensing.

April's mind felt like that of a spaniel - SHARP and FAST! It made her a lot of fun to work with as I tried to keep up with her speed and accuracy!

What's it like turning a hobby that you turn into a proper self employed business - especially when that hobby is something as unusual as animal communication!

I worked with three mares today that I've been working with for well over 10 years.

They still came out with things that surprised me. Snobbery. complex feelings about herd dynamics. A specific plant they want access to. They were able to make requests that their owner could put into place. Have their voices heard, listened to and respected. To get to snack on that cow parsley.

That's the gold that is animal communication. That's why I love it. Because there is NOTHING that compares to making a difference to how an animal feels by allowing them to have a voice.

I was blown away AGAIN by the brilliance of the members of Mitleid, Psychic at Fire Through Spirit 's Nest psychic development group. I was delighted to be asked to return, but wondered what on earth to teach as they absolutely smashed the introduction to animal communication session I taught them last year. So off into the field of advanced techniques we went, and they absolutely nailed those too! Such a talented group of people, thanks so much for letting me come to play with you again!

When talking about concepts that are sensed rather than visible to the naked eye, we tend to throw the term ENERGY around a lot. It’s a useful word, but what does it mean? In the context of animal communication and healing it means the subtle life force that can be sensed in and around living beings. It is my experience that most of us don’t notice life force energy much until we learn how to tune in to it. Think of it like an old-fashioned radio - when you switch it on before tuning it, all you hear is static. When you tune in to the right frequency, suddenly you can hear the proclaimers singing about just how many miles they would walk for you.

I've just had session with a lady and her absolutely lovely Staffie who is in spirit. I know it sounds absolutely bonkers but it's very similar for me to chat with an animal who has passed over as it is with one who is present with us here and now.

Pic of my lovely Bracken dog, also in spirit, who would never willingly leave any body of water that she found. Holly, the Staffie I worked with today hated water but she once found herself put into a big puddle and refused to leave it - "You put me here Dad, you get me out!"

I had a few days off, which I needed after spending much of last week writing about the equine chakra system, tweaking my words, making diagrams, and generally getting frustrated that so few people talk about energy fields and chakras in a pragmatic way that is actually accessible and understandable to most people!

Client 1 of 2 today: Zaza! And a request from her that I'd love some help for. She lives in a multi-cat household and REALLY wants somewhere that the other cats can't get to, a space to call her own. I've got in mind some kind of set up with one of those cat flaps that only work for a certain cat's microchip and a crate, kennel or... something. Needs to be indoors, and small enough to contain a cat bed and not much else. Any suggestions, oh wise hivemind? Does a readymade something like this already exist?

Are you worried that you don't see your animal expressing strong emotions or preferences for things? Sometimes they are just chill and grounded like Saban here. He is quite hard to read from his behaviour because he's a grounded and stable character whose favourite hobby is watching the world go by. His human wasn't sure if he really enjoyed doggy daycare - he does, but again, it's all about the mental stimulation of watching what's going on for him,

Despite not forming close emotional bonds with other horses, a horse I communicated with recently told me that he finds chickens absolutely fascinating, adding an entertaining element to his daily routine. 🐓

Does your horse have a hobby? Amadeus, the horse who felt like a King certainly does! He showed me images of him playing with water - hosepipe in his mouth, and even more specific than that, fiddling with the water fixtures, like taps, on the yard.

This made his owners laugh, as they kew he loved playing with any water at all, and had long since suspected that it had been him who had turned on a tap and flooded the yard once - oops!

All this speculation about the British royal family reminded me of a communication from a couple of years back. Let me introduce you to Amadeus, the only member of royalty worth reading about today 😉

During our communication session I had the pleasure of uncovering Armadeus' unique personality. When I described what I was getting to his owners I found myself saying that “he sees himself as King.” They had to agree that he did rather act like they were his loyal subjects! 😅

This is the aptly named Percy Pocket 💙 I soon realised why he is called that, when the very first thing he showed me was him burrowing right down the side of his human as close as he could possibly get, and preferably in her clothing - his mum laughed when I said this and said when he was a puppy and small enough he would climb inside her pockets all the time!

He has some health issues and although I don’t do diagnostics, his person wanted to check in with him about how he was feeling about the vets. He definitely had a preference for one vet over the other! He also had some requests for what would make difficult or uncomfortable care for him more tolerable.

We chatted about food preferences and whilst he enjoyed his freshly cooked veg pureed, he also asked for cooked green beans and broccoli stalks in lengths, like a chew. Easily accommodated!
