I know as pet parents, we just wanna do what's best for our fur babies. I've gone back and forth on what to feed my little nugget plenty of times. The pet food industry is no different from any other industry out there. At the end of the day, their biggest priority is making as much money as they possibly can, sometimes at the expense of our pet's health 🤬🤬😤
I've also struggled with shame and guilt around not being able to afford "the good stuff" and for a long time, I let that voice on my head play tricks on me. "You're not good enough to be a pet parent" "you don't make enough money to properly care for him" "you know he'd be better off with a different family, don't be selfish" and so on...
I've learned over time with Huck and everything else in life, we can only do the best we can with the knowledge we have.
Before we hop onto every new fad train that rolls into the pet supply station, let's take a beat and get the info straight from the science. Don't beat yourself up, equip yourself with as much credible info as you can, ask questions and as long as you're doing your best, that's more than enough.

Celebrate, cherish, listen to, hold space for, protect, believe, RESPECT, stand beside, cheer for, learn from, care for and be kind to ALL women. This month and every month. The voices and contributions of women across the globe and in every arena imaginable; past, present and future are critical to the fight and our survival as a society. We can't do it without them and we certainly won't get there without having them in positions of power. That goes double and triple for Black women, Indigenous women, women of color, disabled women and trans women. Oh how much further along we'd be if we just got out of their way, supported, assisted when called upon and let them be great 🤔
