The Point Starts Here Our passion is the Labrador Retriever and more so the Pointing Labrador.

Married in 1983 to Vickie, and after retiring from the Air force after 24 years of service, we started the kennel in 2013 outside the small town of Kenly, NC. We love to help people out with their dogs and train these amazing animals.

Due to a small change here at the kennel, nothing bad, This little girl is up for discussion. Bently's Little Nomad of RVK "Gypsy" (4XGMPR HR Rain/4XGMPR HRCH Bently) She was born 13 Oct 2024. Up to date on vaccinations, she has had bird exposure, and currently is going through obedience and house breaking.

Gypsy is AKC and UKC registered.

Chloe doesn't play ball inside much but, tonight she did and her and Bently played together, this is at the end. Alan and Doniell, Rocky has it in his genes and with the rest of this litter. Oh, Bently and Chloe are half brother and sister.

Gypsy found the birds this morning , the black is Kevin KuyKendall pup Sailor. I paused the video after this and hit the wrong button when both puppies went back to the bird pen.

We have an excellent Pointing Labrador pairing planned for early 2025. This breeding between 4XGMPR HR Paige's Little Chloe of RVK "Chloe" to HRCH 4XGMPR TC-1 Feather Points Sir Reed Of Southampton MH "Reed"
We are expecting this breeding to take place late February early March 2025. We have watched Reed progress at hunt tests since he was a young pup and this boy has what it takes in marking ability and an awesome nose and point in the upland field. Chloe is all business out in the field and her bird drive is high, She is quick and consistent in the upland field and an excellent marking dog. Garmin Pro Control 2 System: We bought some new electronics so this set has to go.
Garmin Pro Control 2 with 4 Receivers and chargers. The receivers are in great working condition. The transmitter battery is new and the receivers get charged weekly when used. I bought this system shortly after the pro control 2 system came out.
The equipment was used mid November and worked great.

Another exciting update one one of our dogs/puppies. This is Gauge (Rain/Zeke) owned by Johnny Shaw getting out on a quail hunt. 10 birds in this hunt. Gauge is 9 months old. Here is a picture of one of his points (A tripod point like his Momma Rain) and the retrieve.
Johnny and Gauge are doing great in the field.

Product warning:
As I write this, I am sitting at the Emergency vet with all of Chloe's puppies and one of Rain's puppies. We purchased two orders of their new born collars from EZ Whelp. They looked to be a quality product. Well they are not. The buckles break too easily. 4 collars broke, two recovered, one was thrown up. There are two missing, hence the emergency vet visit.
Rain's Puppies have gone back to the old collars we used and Chloe's puppies collars have been removed.
Don't worry, they are microchipped, we know which puppy is which. EZ Whelp has been contacted I am not happy right now.

Since we are posting puppies retrieving, Here is Rocky (Chloe/Zeke) 7 weeks old owned by Alan Abraham retrieving the wing yesterday. As you see, Yes he had to show off to his litter mates then bring it back to me. This little boy will be a hunting dog and service dog(once training is complete) like his father Zeke.

I got a very good helper turning his food bowl into a water bowl. Zeke has carried his bowl and received his bowl since he was a puppy. No training was involved.

A video of one of Zeke's Sandhill Crane retrieves. Those Rex Specks were awesome.
