Helping animals everywhere. I was lucky enough to travel to Guam in 2019 to participate in a spaycation event. I assisted DVMs and 3rd Year Vet students in performing spays and neuters for feral population of animals on the island. Everyone benefitted., The students got to learn surgical skills with minimal support/technology, we helped address the growing feral dog populations, and experienced some beautiful island scenery. No automated monitoring, no climate-controlled environment, but incredible hospitality from the local people. The bigger the challenge, the greater the reward.

While in Guam, I fell in love with the local version of water buffalo, known as Caribou.

LOVE GOATS. They are great at w**d eating and eat most things other grazing animals won't touch. They are helping with fire mitigation in California. Goats require about 70% of their diet as forage (hard stemmy plants) and only 30% as grasses. They make great companions to horses.
