Working these kinds of cases = always fun. Really getting into dog behavior to bridge the communication gap in a controlled setting and seeing that communication come across clearly and effectively is a cool thing to see. It’s a process l, but with a hormonal momma dog our goals are simple and geared towards predictable + functional management. Safely get the momma out of the room so the puppies can get monitored and the area cleaned. Phase 2 when the puppies are older will be geared towards behavioral rehab with just the momma ( whatever that looks like at the time).

It’s definitely that time of year when hiking and adventures are the most fun! Going out with dogs that are trained definitely make a huge difference! Sadie the Chocolate lab is working on her leash manners and dog reactivity. She did our 5 mile hike without pulling!

It’s finally time! After having Jackson for a few months we’re finally ready to transition him to his forever home. He has grown a lot in confidence and had a successful, temporary holiday foster experience. A new person, and a completely new environment but he did extremely well adjusting. This was our greenlight and his final test. This boy is ready for a family to call his own (although we are in no rush to place him). We are willing to take the time to find the perfect fit that will allow him to be his best self! Although he’s small, cute, and cuddly, boundaries and rules allow him to be a confident and loving companion. If it’s all cuddles and snuggles, he will revert back to a fearful, insecure dude. We are here to help teach you how to bring out his best! If you are a person or know a person who is a good fit and will provide an active and engaging life, feel free to reach out! We think he would be a fantastic dog for trick training, flyball, lure coursing, and an introduction to herding (he has shown that his breed treats really shine with this being an Australian Shepherd cattle dog cross).
