Congratulations to our beautiful Southern Belle!! 🥰She was adopted last Sunday into a very loving home!❤ She has a handsome pit bull brother named Tank, very kind parents and many respectful grandchildren who come visit her often! She gets lots of exercise, attention and tons of time to play ball! We're so happy for this sweetheart! Live your best life, Belle! 💛🐾

Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives of animals at Northwoods Humane Society!!?? Now is your chance to jump in and get involved!!

Save the date:

If you've ever had any interest in joining our wonderful group of volunteers or would like more information on our volunteer programs, come join us for an open house/volunteer appreciation on Saturday, April 23rd from 9-12pm. We'll have food, beverages, tours and volunteers from each program to give you more details on the specific programs you're interested in.

We rely heavily on our volunteers to help us run Northwoods! We currently have 220 active volunteers and can always use more. Last year we had the following volunteer hours of:
Dog walking - 5,244
Cat socializing - 1,941
Foster care - 20,642
Fundraising/Events - 188
Adoption counseling - 1,468
Transportation/Other - 1,196
That is 14.75 FTE so obviously our volunteers are extremely important in keeping our doors open!

Please consider joining our team and Happy Volunteer Appreciation Month to our current (and prospective) volunteers!
